Oswald Mosley Is Back!

The season 5 finale saw Tommy's dangerous plan which included the assassination of Oswald Mosley, a notorious political figure. The murder attempt went horribly wrong after the sniper commissioned for the job was killed before he could fire shots at Mosley, horrifying Tommy Shelby.

The mission's failure immediately sparked questions about a traitor who gave the plan away, since no person outside of Tommy's inner circle was aware about it. The finale concluded with the Shelby family patriarch pointing a gun to his head, his PTSD and mental trauma taking over completely.

Several behind-the-scenes stills shared by director Anthony Byrne confirm that Tommy is alive, but Peaky Blinders has recently revealed another important character will be returning in season 6. Of course, it's Mosley.

English actor Sam Claflin plays Oswald Mosley, an evil, fascist politician who Tommy aspires to eliminate. He was actually a real-life politician who rose to prominence in the 1920s, and ultimately founded the British Union of Fascists, an extremist party. In May 1940, the organization was banned outright by the government.
