On Sunday night, after some of Hollywood's biggest names were celebrating winning Oscars for their efforts in cinema, a humble Pedro Pascal was feeling grateful for the real Oscar in his life.

Unlike the others, Pascal didn't have a golden statuette he could add to his list of merits, but a friendship that has supported him through the years: Oscar Isaac's.

Strangely, Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac's incredible friendship doesn't stem from the fact that they're both in the Star Wars universe. Pascal is The Mandalorian while Isaac is Poe Dameron, but they've been friends for much longer!

Pedro Pascal Thanks Fans For Oscar

After multiple celebrities shared photos from the ceremony, as they proudly held their statutes in hand, a fan shared a hilarious tweet about Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac.

"Pedro Pascal holding his Oscar," @incitechaos wrote in the tweet, sharing adorable pictures of the duo in an embrace.

The tweet received over 75,000 retweets and caught the eye of Pascal himself, who shared it to his followers, acceptance speech included.

He wrote, "I would like to thank the fans. And Guatemala."

Fans had hilarious reactions to the Narcos actor's response, and said they expected Pedro to "walk to the audience and pick up Oscar bridal style" whenever he won his own Oscar in the future.

Another user said Isaac was "the only Oscar that matters right?" Considering Sunday's night chaotic awards ceremony, there is certainly some truth there!

While Pedro is a Chilean-American actor, Oscar is Guatemalan-American, and they met all the way back in 2005. The actors worked together in the off-Broadway production Beauty of the Father. The play didn't run for very long, but their friendship is stronger than ever.

Initially, Pedro and Oscar bonded over sharing similar dreams and frustration, for being discriminated against and "pigeonholed in very specific roles" simply because they "were Latinos".

15 years later, they've both shared important roles in the Star Wars universe, with Pascal returning to reprise his role of Din Djarin in The Mandalorian season 3.

Fans totally love their bromance and hope to see them reunite on-screen in the near future.
