The drama in season 4 of Netflix's Selling Sunset is basically all about Christine Quinn — her "fake" pregnancy, her strained friendship with Mary Fitzgerald, and Emma Hernan, the new girl who replaced Quinn during her maternity leave and was the alleged other woman in her former relationship. The season revolves around other realtors finding out the truth about Quinn and Hernan's "shared" ex story. According to Hernan, the new mom was "nothing but a nightmare" to her when they first met. Unaware that Quinn believes she was still dating her then-boyfriend, Hernan said she was attacked by the realtor and her friend after being seen with "their" man. Quinn was banging on her car window, yelling at her for "stealing" her boyfriend.

But when Quinn spoke with Hernan to address their past and to move forward, she recalled the incident being a calm confrontation. She said she was hurt when their mutual ex got engaged to Hernan, 2 months after their "nightmare" first meeting. It was partly because according to Quinn, he had also proposed to her and that only Davina Potratz knew about it. Hernan said she was the only girl he'd ever proposed to. Potratz herself later said that she didn't know about it either. She wasn't even in the firm yet during that time. The truth is yet to be revealed but at least, fans have already discovered the identity of the unnamed ex. Here's who he really is.

He Played For The Los Angeles Lakers

Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the mystery ex is Peter Cornell, a 45-year-old fellow realtor who is 6'11" tall. He used to play in the NBA with the Lakers. His athletic gifts earned him a full ride to Loyola Marymount University which paved the way for his decade-long NBA career. Before signing with the Lakers in 2001, he was signed with the New Jersey Nets. In 2002, he signed a new contract with Orlando Magic. A year later, he began playing with the Houston Rockets. Utah Jazz became his final NBA team in 2004.

He's also an NBA record-breaker. "I am the player to have signed more than four NBA contracts, but never appear in a regular-season game in the NBA," Cornell said in an episode of the Lost Lakers podcast. He reportedly signed a total of six contracts during his time in the league. He's played for more than 30 teams, 15 leagues, and 7 countries including China and Japan. In 2009, he retired from the sport and began working as an NBA Player Agent in 2011.

He Also Works For The Oppenheim Group

Yes, Cornell is also a realtor like his two exes. He's "a Realtor and the Director of the Sports & Entertainment Division of The Oppenheim Group," according to his company bio. He has also "continued as the third generation of a prominent real estate family in the Bay Area." He started working for the brokerage in 2015, the same year he appeared on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles as the agent for fellow NBA alum and Kim Kardashian's second husband, Kris Humphreys.

He was able to sell Humphreys' $2 million home for $8.25 million. Talk about a real luxury real estate talent. His Oppenheim Group bio also cites that he founded a real estate investment LLC called Highlander Ventures. It specializes in Los Angeles property investments that are optimized for leasing and reselling.

He May Still Be Dating Emma Hernan

Around 2016, Cornell dated Hernan and Quinn. It's not clear whether he dated them both at the same time or not. One thing's for sure, Quinn believes he did. "[Fitzgerald] actually became really close to someone who I really didn’t expect her to be close to me," she said of Hernan during lunch with another newcomer, Vanessa Villela. "Long story. My ex-boyfriend was dating this girl at the same time he was dating me. I had no idea. I caught him red-handed during the day with her. So we broke up and Mary started becoming really close with her."

Hernan remembers a different version of the story. "I found out about [Quinn] the day that I met her. It was not pleasant," she said in the show. "I was leaving the gym with who I thought was my boyfriend and she pulled up with her friend and was like 'Who the eff is this?' and started screaming, 'This is my boyfriend.' I rolled down my window and she started screaming bloody murder. She was nothing but a nightmare for me." She insists that Cornell had already broken up with Quinn before they started dating. Fitzgerald backs her claims. Although Hernan already refers to Cornell as an ex, fans found the photos above, suggesting that they may still be together.
