Phaedra Parks remembers when they were the “No. 1 franchise of Housewives,” and she wants the next season to restore RHOA to that place.

When asked about how she decided to return, she simply said, "They called and I answered."

"We were the No. 1 franchise of Housewives and I was a part of making that franchise a successful franchise. And I would love to bring the franchise come back to its heyday," she stated boldly.

Despite how much her relationship with her castmates, particularly Porsha Williams, suffered during her last season, Phaedra is eager to return and especially looks forward to seeing her old friend, who will be returning to the show for this season as well.

"Of course, I love Porsha," Parks said. "We are the original frick and frack."

About the upcoming season, she can’t say much, but she’s sure the loyal Housewives fans will love it.

"I will say this, it’s going to be an amazing season," she teased. "I mean, it will definitely be reminiscent to the Housewives you love originally."

Phaedra Parks left season 9 of Real Housewives of Atlanta after a huge scandal. Fans will remember how she told Porsha Williams that Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, had been planning to drug her and their friend Shamea Morton to sexually assault them, only to later admit she had no proof of it.

“I repeated it because I heard it,” Phaedra explained at the time. “Something was brought to me. I just repeated it. I repeated what someone told me. I’m not saying I didn’t say it. I’m saying I repeated it.”

Needless to say, Kandi and Porsha were furious and distraught.

“You said first person. You said, ‘Kandi told me this.’ You said that she told you. You told me [Kandi] said it to you. Do you understand how you have me looking in these streets? And how [Kandi] looks?” Porsha lashed out.

Apollo Nida, ex-husband of Phaedra Parks, arrested for assault. Drama unfolds as his wife accuses him of domestic violence.

“This is not right. I would never lie on somebody and say something like that. I trust you as a friend. There’s nothing that I think you could tell me that would hurt me or damage somebody else... You had all these opportunities to tell me the truth!”

Kandi also pointed out how such a serious accusation could have completely destroyed her reputation and career. While Phaedra apologized profusely, she insisted she wasn't trying to lie.

“I was not [lying]. I repeated it — you can’t retract something that was already in the air.”

It's not surprising that Phaedra waited for Kandi to leave the show to make her comeback, as Kandi understandably never forgave her, but now Phaedra has a chance to start over with a clean slate.
