The Real Housewives of Orange County is back! Season 19 kicked off with a dramatic re-introduction to the group as the Housewives attempted to find a level playing field, rather than harboring resentment and anger from the previous year. Emily Simpson, especially, showed viewers how hard it was for her at home and with her friendship with Katie Ginella. To celebrate the start of Season 19, Emily hinted at a few moments in the season on Access Hollywood's Access Nightcap.
If viewers thought the premiere was dramatic, Emily joked that the drama only increases. Season 19 follows a bumpy season that left the group's union broken into cliques. Friendships were tested, and the trust issues have followed them into Season 19, giving audiences one chaotic and gripping season.
Emily Simpson Said Season 19's Finale Is "Uncomfortable"
Emily Simpson is back for her seventh year on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The mother of four was an open book in the premiere of Season 19, sharing difficult situations in her home life. As upsetting as the premiere was for Emily, she told Housewives Nightcap that the drama only continues.
Towards the end of the interview, Emily described the season as "dynamic" and "fun," but also hinted at the finale being a shocking one.
"The end is shocking... and uncomfortable."
The lawyer continued, "At least for me." Emily couldn't give too much information away, but shared that the situation was between two people, but the entire group was "sucked into" the argument.

"We all are uncomfortable, and then we all kind of don't know what to do with it." Some theorize the situation revolves around Katie and her trust issues with the group, while others think it could have something to do with the demise of Tamra Judge and Shannon Storms Beador's friendship.
With 18 episodes, eight Housewives, and a lot of emotional baggage to unpack, this season of RHOC is bound to have a few dynamic storylines that won't bore audiences.

Why One Former Real Housewives Star Is Calling Tamra Judge 'Pure Evil' For Her 'Fake' RHOC Departure
Tamra Judge declared that she was leaving RHOC in an Instagram post after filming a scene with the ladies in New Orleans.
The Premiere Of Season 19 Of RHOC Was An Emotional One
Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County kicked off strong with all the women dealing with issues in their personal lives, which are bound to spill into the group's dynamic. After all, viewers have seen the group's emotions with their family and friends implode into how they handle situations as a group.
- Tamra Judge has one of the most emotional seasons to date, now that she's unpacking deep-rooted trauma with her therapist.
- Heather Dubrow is dealing with real estate debacles and the fact that her kids are getting older.
- Shannon Storms Beador is no longer in a legal debacle with her ex and can now focus on her growth as a person and a mother.
- Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen moved back in with each other and are on a better path in their relationship.
- Jennifer Pedranti is focused on planning her wedding to Ryan Boyajian.
- Emily Simpson is in an uphill battle after learning her 10-year-old son has an eating disorder, all while dealing with a lawsuit that involved Katie Ginella.
- Katie Ginella's personal storyline wasn't shared in the premiere because of her ongoing drama with the group.

What Do The Real Housewives Of Orange County Cast Do For Work?
The women of the OC are successful businesswomen and busy moms.
The two biggest scenes in the premiere were those that involved Tamra's therapy and the issues Emily's struggling with at home.
Tamra Judge
Somewhere between Season 18 and 19, Tamra realized her outrageous reactions stem from anger, but didn't know the root cause of her anger (or didn't want to address it). Through therapy, Tamra realized she still harbors a lot of pain over her divorce from Simon Barney, the communication issues with her children, and deep-rooted issues from her childhood.
Tamra shared in the premiere that she lost a lot of friends over the years, and she now doesn't know whom she can trust. The demise of her friendships with Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon weighs heavily on Tamra. The Housewife also cried at the thought of losing her best friend and podcast co-host, Teddi Mellencamp (of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame), after she was diagnosed with cancerous brain tumors.
For the new season, Tamra will have a lot to unpack.

What Do You Think Of Gretchen Rossi Returning To RHOC?
News broke on Jan. 29 that Bravo is bringing back an OG housewife for the upcoming Season 19 of the Real Housewives of Orange County. None other than Gretchen Rossi will be holding an orange once again, after being off the show since Season 8. Fan sentiment seemed to be pretty excited for her return, and her co-stars also expressed excitement for her return. What do you think? Will Gretchen be a good fit?
Emily Simpson
Emily Simpson had one of the hardest scenes to watch in the premiere. The Housewife told audiences that she recently found out her son had Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). She explained to the cameras that he's disinterested in food, and oftentimes, gets sick at the thought of eating. There are only a few select foods that her son will eat, making it hard to gain weight and get nutrients. She also found out her son may be on the Spectrum, continuing the heavy issues her young son carried daily. Emily contemplated quitting the series to focus more on her son's diagnosis.
As if her problems as a caring mother weren't enough, a large part of her dramatic storyline was against Katie. In Season 18, Katie alleged that Emily's children spoke poorly of Heather. Katie shared that her daughter babysat for Emily's kids and told her everything that she heard through babysitting. Many found Katie's bomb to be manipulative. The conversations among children should be private and left off the show, but that's not how Katie handled the issue.
Things escalated when a blogger allegedly reached out to Katie to compare stories about Emily and her kids to sell to bloggers. Now, Emily has hired an attorney to protect her and her family against defamation. She explained why she hired one on the So Bad It's Good podcast.
“It’s difficult enough to be on a reality TV show with a family and children and a husband and deal with other women. Now it’s become these Housewife blogger people inserting themselves into the episodes, and it’s like, I already have enough to deal with."
