Who Is RHONY's Uban Hassan's Boyfriend?

The Real Housewives of New York City was the first of the Bravo franchise to get completely rebooted for Season 14. That meant that viewers would be saying goodbye to the old cast and hello to a brand-new group of women running the Big Apple. One of those new and successful women was model and hot sauce connoisseur Ubah Hassan.

Ubah has certainly grown on viewers. She opened up about her tough upbringing, which included fleeing from war-torn Somalia. Ubah has also slightly spoken out about her ultra-private relationship with Oliver Dachsel, who was dubbed "Mr. Connecticut."

Ubah's boyfriend has not made an appearance in Season 15 yet, but here is what we have gathered about him.

Ubah Hassan Is Private About Her Romance With Oliver Dachsel Because Of His Profession

RHONY star Ubah Hassan did not make any mention of her boyfriend, Oliver Dachsel, until Season 14, Episode 13 of the Bravo series. Referring to her boyfriend as "Mr. Connecticut," Ubah shows co-star Sai De Silva "delicious" photos of her new man to prove that she was very much taken. Although Ubah trusted Sai to keep the news of her relationship a secret, it became a blow out when Sai accidentally leaked the information to Brynn Whitfield, who confronted Ubah with, "Hey Ubah, I heard you got a man in Connecticut."

As Season 15 rolled around, Ubah shared that she still had an issue with Brynn about leaking her private relationship with the other ladies. "Brynn and I were really close. But when Brynn exposed my boyfriend, I was really shocked, because Sai was the only person who knew about this. Then I was like, 'Oh, Brynn is not loyal. Because Sai has been there for you.' When she did that, whoa. I'm taking 10 steps back.'"

Ubah appears to still want to keep much of her relationship with Oliver away from the RHONY cameras. During the Season 14 reunion, she elaborated that it was Oliver who suggested that they remain on the hush-hush because of his profession. She tells host Andy Cohen and the women:

"He is very private because of his work."

According to Oliver's LinkedIn, he hails from Germany and is an investment banker. His profile states that he attended WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany and graduated in 2006. After graduating, Oliver worked for Deutsche Bank for 10 years, first working as an analyst and making his way up the ladder to director. He moved on to working with Jeffries, a global investment banking firm in New York City, where he worked as a managing director. Currently, Oliver is the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets for Aris Mining.

They Made Their First Public Appearance As A Couple After The Season 14 RHONY Reunion

After The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 part 1 reunion aired in October 2023, Ubah and Oliver made their first public appearance just a few days later. Fans finally got a look at the man named "Mr. Connecticut." The couple attended the 2023 American Ballet Theater Fall Gala with Ubah wearing a glamorous silver sequin dress and Oliver dressed in a navy blue tuxedo and matching bow tie.

"It's our first time on the red carpet together," Ubah shared in an interview with People. She added that the two were big fans of the ballet, "We love it, it's very beautiful. We just saw [George Balanchine's] Jewels last month, it was my birthday present."

Ubah also shared with the outlet that she and Oliver had been dating for "over a year" and met through mutual friends.

"I want to say things like, 'We met on Tinder or Bumble,' but not really,'" the housewife joked.

Ubah Talked About Potentially Starting A Family

When it was revealed that Ubah was happily taken by her investment banker boyfriend, she opened up about whether she would want to start a family someday. During a joint Bravo interview with her co-star Sai, she even shared that she was happy that the world and her RHONY castmates all know about her new man despite wanting to keep it on the down low.

"Honestly, it's been so much fun because I'm a person who loves love, and it's exciting to have girls who really genuinely really are happy for you. So, it's been really fun sharing it."

In the same interview, when asked if she was ready to start a family with Oliver, Ubah insisted that the two aren't trying, but she did worry about getting older and trying then.

"You know, it's scary because I have young friends—younger than me—and they're having a lot of fertility problems... "Every dinner conversation with girls is usually about 'I've been trying for two years,' and I'm like, 'Oh, my God. You're like five years younger than me.'"

"Not gonna lie, it's a little nerve-wracking, but I have an incredible support around me through friends and him himself. So, I don't know. We'll see. We haven't started trying yet, so."

Ubah's Co-Stars Approve Of Him

During the Season 14 reunion, when discussing the incident in which Sia ousted Ubah's boyfriend to the women, Ubah told host Andy why she wanted to keep her romance private at the time. "Here's the thing, I want to make this just between me and him, and make sure I like this person before I parade him around."

However, it seemed like the ladies had finally met Oliver as they had nothing but wonderful things to say about him.

"He's the most lovely man, really, and very handsome," Erin Lichy said, with Sia adding, "He is so in love with her. He has sparkles in his eyes."

Jessel Taank also had very positive words about Ubah and Oliver. She shared, "He is the perfect counterpart to Ubah. He is patient, he is loving. He kind of just looks at her like she is art in a museum."

Although Ubah's relationship is ultra-private and Oliver has not been seen on Season 15 of RHONY yet, all the model's co-stars truly do think he's the perfect match for her. Here's hoping viewers get to see him in a future episode.
