Ever since he first burst into the limelight thanks to his time on Saturday Night Live and a streak of successful leading movie roles, Adam Sandler has built a successful empire off of the back of comedy. Although the quality of his more recent films has come under scrutiny from critics for not living up to his past efforts, that does not change the fact that Sandler has accumulated a net worth of $420 million.

What possibly could one do with $420 million to their name? A lot, if you're Adam Sandler at least. Here are just a few things which he has spent his millions on.

10 Maseratis For The Whole Grown-Ups Cast

Adam Sandler seems like the type of guy who is willing to do any and everything for the friends in his circle, hence why he created an entire movie franchise just to litter the cast with his closest famous friends.

The franchise in question is Grown-Ups, and those friends include an ensemble of Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider. As Sandler revealed in an interview with Howard Stern (h/t Hollywood Reporter), Sandler gifted them all with Maseratis worth $200,000 each as a "thank you" for working with him.

9 Kurt Russell And Goldie Hawn's $12 Million House

Spoiler alert: there are going to be a lot of homes on this list. Which should not be too big of a surprise. After all, any millionaire with funds to do so is likely to buy houses all around the world and live there during each season of the year.

Arguably, Sandler's most impressive home purchase came in 2004 when he dropped $12 million on a house that stretches 13,000 square miles and used to belong to local Hollywood couple, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

8 Charity

Critics can say what they want about Adam Sandler and his movies, but one thing that no one can call him is uncharitable. Sandler frequently kicks out the big bucks to give to important causes. Among those causes include giving away $1 million to the Boys and Girls Club in Manchester, and raised $15,000 for Disney's Thirst Project in honor of the late Cameron Boyce.

Outside of money, he once bought and gave away 400 Playstations to Israel, all for the victims of the Israel-Lebanon war.

7 A House In Miami

Sitting on the coast of the sea, Adam Sandler's Miami home is a sight for sore eyes. On top of offering Sandler with a gorgeous view of the coastal shores, it also gives Sandler and his family the option of diving into the water whenever he so pleases.

If not, he can just sit underneath the shade of one of those high, relaxing trees and enjoy the view while reading a book. Or not. It's his house, he can do what he wants, and we're not trying to dictate his actions.

6 Dodge Challenger

We know he gave Maseratis to all of his best pals, but the question is what kind of cars does Adam Sandler like to spend his money on? Well, oddly enough, we have never actually seen Sandler pull up in a Maserati of his own.

Instead, we have seen him drive a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. It is not quite clear what kind of model year the one he drove is in, but the 2020 version is currently priced at a whopping $59,000, giving us an idea for how much Sandler bought for his own.

5 A House In California

The aforementioned house he bought from Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell in Los Angeles is not the only Californian home owned by Adam Sandler. He also owns a home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

This house is highlighted by seven bathrooms and close to 14 different bedrooms, all with a massive pool and an even bigger tennis court in a monumentally large backyard. As stated earlier, Sandler owns a lot of houses to his name, but this might be the nicest looking of the bunch.

4 Mass Assortment Of Face Masks And Gloves

In the midst of the current worldwide novel coronavirus pandemic we are still in, the world has been divided between those who choose to wear face masks in public and those who don't.

Among those who choose to wear a mask is Adam Sandler, who we have seen appear in public plenty of times now wearing different designs of masks and gloves. This leaves us to assume that Sandler must have dropped boatloads of money on multiple masks and gloves, perhaps even some for his family.

3 His Own Movie Studio

The biggest gateway to Adam Sandler's success was the decision to use his millions to create his own movie studio, Happy Madison Productions. He first founded the company in the year 1999 and over 20 years later is still going strong.

Sandler and Co. have made millions through this studio by producing multiple box office hits - most of which Sandler cast himself in the lead role, if not his friends - like Mr. Deeds, Pixels, 50 First Dates, Don't Mess with the Zohan, Little Nicky, and Deuce Bigalow.

2 A House In Malibu

The third and final California house on this list - and, overall, the last property purchase from Adam Sandler that will be mentioned on this list - is a much simpler, yet effective style compared to the previous homes on this list.

While the other houses on this list were occupied by lavish luxuries, this one is simply a big, white house surrounded by beautiful grasslands. In this case, as a contrast to the glitz and glam that Hollywood normally offers, the simplicity is quite awfully beautiful.

1 Family Shopping Sprees

One thing that should not be lost in all of this is the fact that Adam Sandler is a family man. He's just as likely - if not more - to drop cash on his two daughters - and, frankly, the rest of his family - than on himself.

That fact was made painfully evident last year when he was spotted at the Brentwood Country Mart last year on Super Bowl Sunday to take his kids on a shopping spree for toys, alongside his grandmother and sister in law.
