Rihanna Has Been MIA From Social Media For Weeks

Rihanna originally announced her second pregnancy at the SuperBowl Halftime Show, when she showed up on stage with a noticeable baby bump. However, the Fenty Cosmetics founder never confirmed how far along she was.

Up until a few weeks ago, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky were spotted travelling, with her growing baby bump on full display. It’s been speculated that she was gearing up to give birth, given how big her stomach was in the most recent photos.

Even more, Rihanna’s recent absence from social media is telling. The singer often posts candid photos of her and her 15-month old in between promotional content, but she’s been MIA in recent weeks, which suggests she’s preoccupied with having a newborn in the house.

Rihanna hasn’t posted any photos or videos of her baby bump since July 14, when she shared a lingerie campaign video or Savage X Fenty on July 14, two weeks before she supposedly gave birth. Her latest pot was made on August 11, but it’s a close-up shot of RiRi to promote Fenty’s products. It could’ve been taken at any time (even before her pregnancy) and posted by her team while she’s on maternity leave.

This wouldn’t be the first time Rihanna took a pause from social media to focus on her family. So, her online silence seems to reinforce the reports that Rihanna has indeed given birth.

Taking a break from the online world isn’t the only way Rihanna appears to be prioritizing her family. In recent months, the musician has been letting go of some of her business responsibilities, like so she has less on her plate.

In June, it was reported that RiRi had stepped down as Savage X Fenty’s CEO after turning the fashion and lingerie brand into a billion-dollar company following its launch in 2018. “It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years,” Rihanna explained in a statement.

“This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer,” she continued. “I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”

Rihanna was replaced by Hillary Super, former CEO at Anthropologie Group, who assumed the CEO role on June 26.

Rihanna isn’t leaving Savage X Fenty. She’ll remain an executive chair in addition to having major investments in the company.
