As far as reality television shows go, few manage to be quite as entertaining as RuPaul's Drag Race. The incredible drag queens that compete every season for the chance to get the crown and a hefty check bring tons of flavorful personalities, juicy drama, hilarious comedy bits, and, of course, decadent looks that make fans drool.
Even though there are so many different and captivating personalities, it's possible to sort your favorite queens into their respective Harry Potter houses. Gryffindors, for instance, are brave, bordering on reckless, daring, chivalrous, and beaming with nerve. Which queens from RuPaul's Drag Race best fit this description?
10 Jujubee (Season 2, All Stars 1 & All Stars 5)
Since her first run in the second season of the show, Jujubee made her way into the hearts of fans all across the globe. After a stint in All Stars 1, she's currently competing in All Stars 5 in hopes of finally taking the crown she clearly deserves.
Jujubee never lacked courage or nerve, and even though she never won a main challenge, she was a true lip-synch assassin full of nerve. She's audacious yet kind and has a very firm notion of what's right and wrong - a Gryffindor indeed.
9 Latrice Royale (Season 5, All Stars 1 & All Stars 4)
Iconic and full of catchphrases - one of the most legendary being "goog god get a grip, girl" - Latrice Royale was always ready to come into a room, dripping in diamonds and confidence, and let everyone around her eat it.
Latrice was always one to stand up for herself or situations she deemed unfair, whether it was on her original season or during one of her stints on All Stars. Never hiding a single thing about herself, her genuine persona was what immediately drew fans to her. Classic Gryffindor!
8 Alyssa Edwards (Season 5 & All Stars 2)
Everybody's favorite dancing queen, Alyssa Edwards never got the crown she wanted in spite of being on the show three times. However, her unapologetic personality and contagious energy solidified her as one of the most legendary queens the show produced.
Edwards was always a kind queen, but she wasn't afraid to call people out - looking at you, Jade! Plus, the things she walked the runway wearing? Oh yes, it does take a whole lot of nerve to put that on! No doubt she's a born Gryffindor.
7 Bianca Del Rio (Season 6)
Many people would be quick to sort the rightful winner of season 6 into Slytherin due to her style of humor. While it's true that no one does insult comedy quite like Bianca Del Rio does, fans knew that was just her being funny.
Over the course of the show, she showed how kind and considerate she could be by helping Adore. And the way she was ready to call out anyone - judges included - on their nonsense just further proves how much of a Gryffindor she is.
6 Pearl (Season 7)
If we're talking about nerve, then season 7 competitor Pearl is the name of the game. For half of the season, Pearl was accused of being dead inside and lacking any sort of personality. In reality, she just needed more time to come out of her shell, and when she did, there was no stopping her.
It took a lot of bravery to be as nonchalant as Pearl was when she confronted RuPaul with her iconic line "is there something on my face?". It doesn't get any more daring than that, because Pearl is a true Gryffindor.
5 Katya (Season 7 & All Stars 2)
Katya is a little bit harder to sort than the rest of the queens. Yes, a case can be made for how her quirkiness and witty humor prove that she's a Ravenclaw. However, she's not as much of an overachieving intellectual as she is a brave and daring soul.
She was very open about her struggles with sobriety and mental health on the show. Being in the public eye and allow yourself to both be vulnerable and your quirky self at the same time take a lot of courage, which makes Katya more of a Gryffindor when all is said and done.
4 Bob The Drag Queen (Season 8)
The minute Bob The Drag Queen walked into the werkroom in the very first episode of season 8, it was pretty clear that she was going to take the crown. Loud, boisterous, daring, and oh so hilarious, Bob was born to be a star.
Season 8 had a lot of incredibly talented queen, but Bob's natural confidence and spirit would drown everyone out instantly. From head to toe, this winner is clearly a Gryffindor.
3 Monique Heart (Season 10 & All Stars 4)
Monique Heart, the self-proclaimed heart of season 10, was a crafty and bold queen with a lot of strong opinions she wasn't afraid to share with anyone, be it judges or fellow drag queens.
Even though she didn't get a crown, Monique's audaciousness and determination were more than enough to cement her as an iconic RuPaul queen - and a clear Gryffindor as well.
2 Monét X Change (Season 10 & All Stars 4)
Monét X Change was an extremely kind yet outspoken queen who ultimately won the crown in All Stars 4, alongside Trinity The Tuck.
As loving and supportive as she was towards her fellow competitors, Monique never let that get in the way of her success, which led her to speak the truth when the occasion called for it.
1 Yvie Oddly (Season 11)
Much like Katya, it's very easy to sort season 11 winner Yvie Oddly into Ravenclaw. She even has "odd" in the name, an ode to the way she performs drag. However, and again, much like Katya, Yvie's bravery and boldness outshone any other characteristics.
She would confront anyone who dared to lie or be shady about a situation, and it takes a lot of nerve to deliver a style of drag that most people would roll their eyes at. And at the end of the day, it was Yvie's daring nature that helped her snatch the crown.
