There are many fascinating facts about Survivor that new fans who are figuring out which seasons to watch first won't know. For example, longtime fans of Jeff Probst's beloved reality show will know who was the first to be medically evacuated and that some former players have refused to return. Those dedicated fans will likely also have strong opinions about which seasons are the best, who the greatest players ever are, and about how to rank the show's winners.

Most dedicated fans will recognize that Sandra Diaz-Twine is one of Survivor's greatest players since she won two of the show's best seasons ever. With that in mind, Sandra exclusively telling TheThings why she thinks two Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans are doomed is fascinating.

Sandra Diaz-Twine Thinks Kyle Fraser And Dee Valladares Are Doomed During Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans

In June 2025, TheThings journalist Matthew Thomas interviewed Sandra Diaz-Twine. During that conversation, Sandra expressed several fascinating opinions about the cast of Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

While she was talking to TheThings, Sandra was asked how she would feel if Kyle Fraser or Dee Valladares became a two-time winner like her. Instead of answering that question, Sandra instantly expressed that she believes that Dee and Kyle have no chance of winning Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

"It's not gonna happen."

As blunt as that statement was, Sandra then went even further.

While speaking to TheThings, Sandra was so confident Kyle and Dee won't win that said she would bet her own money on them losing.

"I would bet money that it's not gonna happen."

Of course, that begs an obvious question. Why is Sandra so sure that Dee and Kyle won't win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans?

Sandra Diaz-Twine also told TheThings that she believed Mike White and the two Survivor 49 players aren't going to win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

From there, Sandra exclusively told TheThings why she was so confident that Dee and Kyle have no chance to win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

"They've already won. They're gonna be held to a higher standard. People are gonna be jealous of what they've already achieved their first time around versus someone who's playing for the fourth, the fifth, the sixth time. You know? So when it comes to sending them packing or looking for a reason to vote someone off, being a winner is just the simpler version. You're a threat. You've already won before. Let's not get wrapped up around it. Let's just get them out. And that's what's gonna happen. They're gonna go."

Who Sandra Diaz-Twine Predicted Could Win Survivor 50: In The Hands Of The Fans

When Sandra Diaz-Twine spoke exclusively to TheThings in June 2025, she was asked to predict who could win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans. In response, Sandra stated she believes that Emily Flippen, Kamilla Karthigesu, or Genevieve Mushaluk could win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

"Emily. Because I think she has what it takes. Kamilla. But, I think they're gonna be scared of her. They've seen her play. And Genevieve. I mean, there's so many good new school players that are out there that had the potential to go, you know, to win the season."

Sandra went on to express confidence that another player has a good chance to win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.

Later during the interview, TheThings journalist Matthew Thomas expressed why he thought Jenna Lewis-Dougherty could win Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans. The argument was that Jenna is an underrated social and strategic player who won't be targeted because she is underestimated. In response, Sandra expressed that she agreed that Jenna was a threat to win.

"I agree with everything you're saying."

To prove the point, Sandra then stated that she didn't mention Jenna could win because she forgot she was part of the cast. "As a matter of fact, I forgot she was on the list because it's been so long."
