Updated August 2023: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Ryan Phillippe have taken their careers and personal lives in different directions since they starred in 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.' But each had a very successful career, much of which can be attributed to starring in the teen slasher flick.

With so many films getting a reboot from the 1990s, it was only a matter of time until 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' was added to the list. And while the film promises to be a "passing of the torch-type sequel" what fans really want to know is if any of the original cast will be returning.

The latest reports have Prinze and Hewitt in talks to make an appearance in the film. If they sign, it is unknown if it will influence Gellar and Phillippe to jump on board as well.

A script has yet to be finalized for the project, which means a release date has not been set. But if the quartet makes a cameo in the film, not only are new audiences going to be drawn to the big screen but fans of the original will as well.

Jennifer Love Hewitt got her start in show business as a child actor. At 10 years old, she starred in the Disney hit show, Kids Incorporated, where Love stole the show with her singing, dancing, and beautiful smile. She also played a role in the hugely successful series, Party of Five.

Hewitt's lucrative career includes a stack of impressive movies. I Know What You Did Last Summer, Can't Hardly Wait, and Heartbreakers to name a few. Not only that, but she also went on to star in the television series Ghost Whisperer, The Client List, and Criminal Minds. She is currently starring in the drama series, 9-1-1.

The actor has been linked to a number of famous men over the years, including singer Enrique Iglesias, musician John Mayer, talk show host Carson Daly, comedian Jamie Kennedy, and actor Will Friedle.

Hewitt and Scottish actor Ross McCall were engaged in November 2007. A little more than a year after making their big announcement, the couple broke off their marriage plans and their romance after dating for two years.

Hewitt made the announcement she was having her first child with her Client List co-star and husband, Brian Hallisay, who was involved in an assault scandal with paparazzi, on June 4, 2013. They first connected in 2010 while working together on the television show Love Bites, and they began dating in early 2012. In November 2013, she gave birth to a daughter named Autumn James Hallisay. The pair secretly got married between the couple's June pregnancy announcement and the baby's November birth. They now have two more children, Atticus James, and Aidan James. (Yes, all her children have the same middle name.)

Recently, Hewitt snapped a photo of herself for Instagram to commemorate turning 44 years old. While the pic looked beautiful, fans were surprised by what they saw. This had to do with the fact that Hewitt looked nothing like herself, which led to speculation about Hewitt having plastic surgery.

Whether she did or did not have surgery is not anyone's business but her own. But with Hewitt refusing to comment on her changing looks, rumors only continue to swirl about what caused the extreme changes in her exterior appearance.
