On top of having experience opening a business, it could be argued that Sandoval and Schwartz have the personalities to work really well together. Unfortunately for the friends, however, they dealt with several issues while working to make Schwartz & Sandy's a reality.

One of the first issues that Sandoval and Schwartz had to deal with was that some people hated their bar's name. Most notably, Schwartz’s wife at the time, Katie Maloney, couldn't stand the name Schwartz & Sandy's.

If that wasn't bad enough, several fans weighed in on the name Schwartz & Sandy's and were against it. Despite that, Sandoval and Schwartz decided to stand by their original vision for the bar and suggested patrons come up with a nickname for the business if they don't like that name.

While that was a very small problem to deal with, many of Sandoval and Schwartz other issues were not.

While Sandoval and Schwartz had a vision for their bar, their third business partner wasn't sure that some of their choices were worth the money. As a result, the Toms had to argue with him about money which is one of the quickest ways for a relationship to go south.

Since Schwartz & Sandy's is a private business, there is no way to know exactly how much was spent to open it. However, it is clear that when Schwartz & Sandy's was open for a private event, those in attendance thought it looked fantastic.

Of all the issues that the Toms had to deal with while opening Schwartz & Sandy's, the biggest had to do with COVID-19. When the Daily Mail posted an article about the business opening that had to be pushed back several times, they revealed the pandemic caused major issues that eventually were overcome

"The pair battled Covid delays and supply chain issues but were able to fulfill their creative vision for the venue."

Unsurprisingly, Vanderpump Rules has a lot of fans that fall into the latter camp of skeptical viewers. With that in mind, it makes sense that some of the show's fans on Reddit have come to believe that Schwartz & Sandy's opened later than expected intentionally.

After the ninth season of Vanderpump Rules was filmed, it took a while for the show to be renewed and even longer for the tenth season to begin filming. While the cast of Vanderpump Rules waited for the tenth season to begin filming, Schwartz & Sandy's opening kept being pushed back.

Ultimately, Schwartz & Sandy's opening and the tenth season of Vanderpump Rules began filming at around the same time. While Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz would call that fact a coincidence, some Reddit fans aren't buying that.

"Of course the made sure the opening would be filmed for the television show."

"Of course it was deliberate. The same way all their engagements were done on camera."

That said, it is worth noting that other Vanderpump Rules fans completely believe that Schwartz & Sandy's opening was pushed back for legitimate reasons. Many of those people had their own experiences with COVID-related delays.
