The Kardashian family is never far away from family drama. This time, a rift is forming between Kourtney Kardashian and her first-born son, Mason Disick. His father, Scott Disick, believes that tension stems from Kourtney distancing herself from her ex in favor of her new partner.

The stars of The Kardashians was allegedly heartbroken when Mason decided not to attend a family trip to Australia with the rest of his siblings and her now-husband, Travis Barker. Instead, Mason chose to stay home with his father, Scott, something which broke Kourtney's heart.

“Mason [doesn’t want] to come,” Kourtney explained on their Hulu show. “He’s a teenager, and he wants to be with his friends and his dad.” She admitted that while she understood his motives, she was “really sad” over the 14-year-old’s decision, but she said she was trying to “make the most” of their vacation.

DailyMail exclusively reported that a source close to the famous family revealed that Kourtney no longer going on vacation with Scott caused their family a rift. Scott believes Mason is upset and angry that his father is no longer invited along on family trips. The couple frequently traveled together, even after their 2015 split.

The insider also revealed that Mason has recently started spending more time with Scott and may move in with him. Scott allegedly implied that he believes Mason has drifted away from his mother after she married rock musician, Travis Barker. Before the eldest Kardashian daughter married the Blink-182 drummer, Scott continued to play a role in the family including holidays and trips abroad.

The source for Life & Style believes that Kourtney's stricter parenting style compared to Scott being a "cool dad," may have been a factor in Mason's decision to move.

"The kids can have all the sugar and junk food they want [at his house], and they can stay up as late as they want and watch whatever they want. [He] buys them anything they ask for. It’s no surprise they all love going to his house. They love their dad, but it helps that it’s a free-for-all when they’re over there!"
