In the past, Jimmy Fallon has been compared to other hosts. Fans felt like Fallon couldn't handle Aubrey Plaza like Stephen Colbert did. Most recently, another comparison was made after host Sean Evans handled Heidi Klum like a gentleman. Once again, Jimmy Fallon was on the wrong end of things, as fans caught a certain moment from his interview with Heidi Klum seven months ago.
In the following, we're going to compare Evans and Fallon's interviews with Klum. Both were entertaining, but it seemed like one host had superior eye control compared to the other.
We will take a look at how fans reacted to both conversations, and other forgettable moments Fallon faced throughout his career.
Sean Evans Was Universally Praised For His Professionalism Alongside Heidi Klum
Take it from a guy that has tried Da Bomb before, that sauce is not to be messed with, and can make anyone lose control, even the most composed. Heidi Klum was yet another example of a guest falling under the pressure of its heat. Drinking cold fluids wasn't enough for Klum, as she ripped off her top during the appearance, conducting the rest of the interview in just her bra. As for Sean Evans' reaction, he handled the moment like a total pro, and debated taking off his top himself.
Posted just days ago, the interview is nearing 2 million views and over 4K comments.
- Scroll through what the fans are saying, and it becomes evident real fast that the respect for Sean is at an all-time high:
- "Sean’s eye contact getting extremely tested here. What a gentleman."
- "Sean is putting on a masterclass of eye discipline."
- "He is an intelligent interviewer and has the best questions. Everyone goes there in fear most come out doing something. They never thought they could do. I love the show in it’s entirety."
- "The fact that they used a thumbnail from before she took her jacket off tells you everything you need to know of what a great channel this really is."
Certainly an interview Sean Evan and the fans won't forget. Evans once again proved to the world why he's one of the most elite hosts out there.
Although Evans thrived during the moment, other hosts have fallen under pressure. Conan O'Brien is a name that constantly comes to mind. His interview with Nicole Scherzinger turned iconic after he was caught taking a look. Though fans deemed it as harsh given Nicole's outfit. Nonetheless, Conan is far from the only one, and in fact, fans caught a certain host sneaking a look during their conversation with Heidi Klum.
Jimmy Fallon Got Caught During His Interview With Heidi Klum 7 Months Ago
Heidi Klum has been a consistent guest over the years alongside Jimmy Fallon. Whether the interview was shot remotely from home, or in studio, the two have gotten along just fine, with entertaining interview moments.
7 months ago, Klum appeared on The Tonight Show. The appearance was yet another example of how gracefully the star is aging.
- Topics discussed by Fallon and Klum:
- The America's Got Talent Fantasy League
- An on-set mishap
- Feeling claustrophobic in her worm Halloween costume
One thing that wasn't discussed, was Fallon's eyes drifting off... Yup, we caught the moment during their interview early on, which subtly takes place at the 1:08 mark below.
Unfortunately for Fallon, it wasn't the only time fans questioned his eye control. The same took place during an interview with Sydney Sweeney, as fans caught his eyes drifting.
Many fans thought Fallon kept it classy. However, a user wrote, "To everyone saying he didn't peek once... 0:20."
On the flip side, Fallon does have a tendency to keep his interviews light, and guests tend to return following their chats, which is usually a good sign. But eyes are up here, Jimmy.
Jimmy Fallon Had Other Interview Moments That Almost Ruined His Career
As of late, Jimmy Fallon is enjoying a string of strong interviews. His audience was impressed with one of his best interviews on the year with Andrew Huberman. He was also praised for not commenting on Jessica Alba's looks during their interview.
However, Fallon has faced controversy in the past. Perhaps his worst moment came alongside Donald Trump. Fallon faced intense backlash after he touched Trump's hair. It was deemed as his worst interview moment ever, largely by the former President's supporters.
Fallon looked back at the moment, and issued an apology.
- “I did not do it to ‘normalize’ him or to say I believe in his political beliefs or any of that stuff. (It) just got bigger and out of control. I saw other comedians from other shows making fun of me on Twitter, and I go, ‘OK, now I’m just gonna get off.’ They know the show. I’m just doing five hours a week. I get in at 10 in the morning, I work ’til seven at night and I’m just trying to make a funny show.”
- “I’m sorry. I don’t want to make anyone angry — I never do and I never will. It’s all in the fun of the show. I made a mistake. I’m sorry if I made anyone mad,” he emotionally continued. “And, looking back, I would do it differently.”
It should also be noted that Fallon wasn't left to fend for himself following the incident. Howard Stern came to his defense.
“I had said to Jimmy, ‘It is absolutely absurd that anyone would lay a trip on you. I would do the same bit,'” said Stern. “Everyone was curious what was going on in that bird’s nest, and you wanted to sit there and see. I thought the bit was fantastic. I think people tried to blame you or say, ‘Hey, Jimmy got Donald Trump elected,’ this or that.”
Fallon was able to escape a tough moment in the end.
