Sean Evans has created a beast with Hot Ones. Dave Grohl himself admitted the show is now considered iconic, and the place to be for the biggest stars. Evans is a major part of the show's success, especially given his interview style, and how he always keeps things positive, no matter how hard things appear to be for the guests.
In the following, we're going to take a closer at one of Sean Evans' most worrisome experience on the show. It took place alongside Chrissy Teigen, who was showing major courage throughout the episode. We'll take a look at how the interview went, and at what moment Evans showed concern for his guest. We'll also detail what went on with Teigen after the show, and why she checked into the hospital.
In addition, we're also going to take a look at Jennifer Lawrence's recent cameo, and how the guest also fell very ill after the show.
Sean Evans Showed Concern For Chrissy Teigen During One Of Her Dabs
The video is titled, "Chrissy Teigen Gets Drunk on Spicy Wings," and in truth, it isn't an exaggeration seeing her struggles throughout her battle with the wings. The interview has a near 6 million views. Teigen does deserve some praise for her enthusiasm and courage, adding sauces to the already seasoned wings - despite the fact that she was already clearly struggling.
It isn't often that fans notice Sean Evans showing concern, as the host usually keeps his cool for the guests and cameras. However, fans can spot the moment during the second last wing, as Evans is concerned with the among of hot sauce Chrissy puts on her wing.
The fan writes, "Omg. Sean’s face when she pours the second to last hot sauce is priceless. He looks so stressed by her decisions. Chrissy is a god-damn, G. She took those sauces like a pro."
The moment can be seen at the 18:00 minute mark in the video below, with Evans saying, "a little casual with the pour," while showing obvious concern.
Evans was completely right to feel that way as after the episode, Teigen checked into the hospital...
Chrissy Teigen Checked Into The Hospital After Her Appearance On Hot Ones
Speaking alongside Jimmy Fallon, Teigen detailed exactly what went on after her memorable experience on Hot Ones. She revealed that her experience was far from over, taking a trip to the hospital for multiple issues.
"I had just done Hot Ones and I had to go to the doctor after – the hospital, as people call it," Teigen explained. "It was bad, the seventh one really got me."
Not only was Teigen battling acid reflux for the next couple of days, but her tongue was also in rough shape, completely patched up because of the hot sauces.
"I had to go to the hospital, and then my tongue was stripped, they said," Teigen told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "I don't even know what that means. It was, like, bloody and stripped and I had acid reflux for a long time."
Looking back, we assume Teigen might be a little more careful with the amount of hot sauce she was using - especially given that the wings are already hot enough as it is. Nonetheless, she was far from the only guest to struggle after the show, and that's still taking place with current guests.
Jennifer Lawrence Was Another Guest That Fell Ill After Her Appearance On Hot Ones
Released just a month ago, the Jennifer Lawrence interview on Hot Ones has already been watched by over 10 million fans. That is to be expected given how unpredictable the actress tends to be. Credit to Lawrence who also showed great courage throughout the interview, while giving great answers to Evans' questions.
However, similar to Teigen, Lawrence struggled once the show wrapped up.
She revealed, “I passionately threw up after — violently. My stomach gave me like 8 minutes to get upstairs and then woah.”
Lawrence revealed she knew the experience was going to be a tough one when already at the fourth wing, she started to feel some complications... Nonetheless, fans loved her time on the show.
One fan writes, "I think this episode reminded all of us why the 2010s were the Jennifer Lawrence decade. She’s so genuine and strong with such a humorous approach to life, but she’s also very vulnerable and expressive. She’s a treasure, and I hope she has great success no matter what choices she makes professionally."
Another fan notes, "This one was just so enjoyable - I loved how much she was making the people behind the scenes laugh! I bet she brings a special aura to every room she walks into."
A memorable interview but one that was a struggle for Lawrence once it wrapped.
