Andy Samberg's new movie, Palm Springs, hit Hulu on July 10. And while it has received wide-spread acclaim, not everyone is a fan.
Late night talk-show host Seth Meyers, who used to work on Saturday Night Live with Samberg, posted a photo of his dog, Frisbee, on Instagram. The caption offered praise to the film but also jokingly stated that Frisbee did not enjoy the movie due to Samberg's presence.
Samberg vs. Frisbee
A running gag between Samberg and Meyers has been that Samberg detests Frisbee; the joke goes back several years. Samberg has likened Frisbee to a rat. He also told Meyers' wife that he had seen rocks cuter than the dog.
Samberg appeared on Meyers' show to promote the movie. During the interview, Frisbee again came up. The two talked about Samberg's reaction to the post as well as a confrontation with Frisbee. Samberg said he was initially excited about the post because it looked like Frisbee was dead until he read the caption.
Meyers then forced Samberg into a confrontation with Frisbee. While initially saying some nice things about the dog, Samberg then held up a note that said, "Frisbee sucks."
Cristin Milioti stars alongside Samberg in Palm Springs. The two play a pair that get stuck in a Groundhog Day-style time loop in which they have to relive a wedding every day. You can watch it now on Hulu.
