Shia was accompanied by his wife and their 1-year-old daughter, Isabel, who she pushed in a shopping cart while in the parking lot of a Calabasas grocery store.
Dressed in an oversized t-shirt and black shorts, the former Disney star showed off a thick beard and solemn face. His partner was also dressed casually in a floral dress and slip-ons, while their blonde baby was dressed in a blue outfit.
Shia had an energy drink in his hand as they walked across the parking lot, however, he appeared to finish the beverage quickly. Photographers then caught him littering the can by leaving it in an abandoned shopping cart.

Though not good for the planet, Shia’s decision to litter is one of the least controversial moves he’s made over the years. After becoming a father, the actor said that parenthood had changed him for the better. During an appearance on the Real Ones with Jon Bernthal podcast in August 2022, Shia said that his daughter gave him “new purpose” and that he was "learning to be a man of principles."
"There's a lot I need to work on," the actor said, admitting he fears the day when his daughter reads about his past online. "Having a daughter and knowing that your daughter is one day gonna search your name in a search engine and see that you are a deplorable, disgusting piece of s--t, that s--t hits.”
“I have now until she's literate to create a relationship with her where she knows me more than this idea of who I am in the public” Shia continued.
The actor went on to say becoming a father has inspired him to make things right with people he’s hurt in the past.
"I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being and I was operating on a survival instinct," he went on. "All my loves and friendships were transactional."
"For my wife, I'll be making amends for the rest of my life,” Shia continued, referring to his turbulent history with Mia Goth. "That's going to be a lifelong journey," adding he’s "cheated on every woman I'd ever been with."
Shia and Mia crossed paths in 2013 on the set of "Nymphomaniac" and subsequently began dating. Notably, Mia was 19 years old at the time, while Shia was 26.
Their relationship was on-and-off in the years that followed and often marred by incidents of domestic disturbances. In 2015, the couple faced significant criticism when video footage emerged depicting them engaged in a physical altercation. Reports indicated that Mia had sustained a black eye, and bystanders had to intervene to intervene and separate them. During the altercation, Shia claimed that Mia had provoked him.
Nevertheless, Shia and Mia became engaged in 2016 and later confirmed their marriage in Las Vegas during the same year. Regrettably, their marital bliss proved to be short-lived as they parted ways in 2018.
