Sofia Vergara Is Angry Ex Joe Manganiello Moved On So Quickly After Divorcing Her So He Could Have Kids

Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara’s divorce took fans by surprise earlier this year. And though the exes have maintained their split was amicable, a new report suggests that Sofia is bothered seeing Joe move on so quickly with his new girlfriend, Caitlin O’Connor.

“Joe’s not trying to rub it in Sofía’s face,” a source told OK! Magazine. “But he does feel like enough time has passed.”

“She’s clearly still upset,” they continued. “Especially now that Joe’s publicly showing off his new, younger girlfriend.” Only two months after Joe and Sofia’s divorce, the actor was spotted leaving Gold’s Gym with Caitlin in Venice, California, first sparking romance rumors.

As for Sofia, the source told Ok! Magazine that the Modern Family alum hasn’t started dating since their break-up, but things might change in the near future. “Who knows, though, maybe seeing Joe move on will encourage her to do so, too,” the source said.

Another source told the outlet that Joe is ready for something new, even though his and Sofia’ divorce is so recent.

"Joe wants the divorce to go as clean as possible. He would love as little drama [as possible] to come from it. Joe is ready to date, ready to move on, ready to have fun again and fall in love with someone," they explained.

"He never wanted to be single, he thought Sofía was the one,” they continued. “But he knows that since it didn't work with Sofía he is getting to a better place within himself to move on to make someone else happy, which in turn will make him happy.”

The same source denied that Joe and Sofia will ever reconcile in the future. "He is not looking back and there isn't a situation where this will be like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, they aren't going to get back together,” they said.

Following Sofia and Joe’s divorce announcement in July, various reports suggested the couple split as they couldn’t agree on whether to have children. Sofia already has a 31-year-old son from a previous relationship. Speaking to Page Six, insiders claimed she didn’t want to have more kids at the age of 51, whereas Joe, 47, has an “intense” desire for kids of his own.

However, the former couple have never provided an official reason for their split. They only cited ireeconciliable differences” in the divorce filing.

"We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” their divorce statement read. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Sofia and Joe reportedly had a combined fortune of $100 million, though they were able to easily separate it thanks to their prenup. Reports have suggested the pair’s break-up wasn’t a shock to those close to them. “Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future,” one source told Page Six.

“They have been spending time apart and focusing on themselves, their careers, and their loved ones. Sofia has been giving her all to her new beauty brand, toty, and is very involved and excited about it,” a different insider told Entertainment Tonight.

Joe was first spotted without his wedding ring in August, and seeing that he has a new girlfriend, the actor has clearly moved on – even if it’s bothering his ex, Sofia.
