On Friday, October 20, paparazzi caught the actress on a date with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman. His identity was confirmed by Page Six.
The pair were seen grabbing dinner near where Kim Kardashian’s 43rd birthday party was taking place, though they apparently didn’t attend the soiree. Sofia was dressed in a sultry outfit, including a lace bodice and velvet pants. For his part, Saliman was wearing a navy, button-down shirt as well as blue jeans.
As per Page Six, the doctor boasts an Ivy League background, having successfully completed a fellowship at Stanford University. Additionally, he holds a medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Saliman specializes sports medicine and arthroscopy, focusing on the preservation of joints while treating injuries to the shoulder, hip, and knee. He’s also responsible for inventing a groundbreaking device for meniscus repair while also being the owner of a start-up.

Sofia’s new date comes weeks after it was reported she’s having a tough time seeing her ex-husband move on following their split. He’s reportedly been dating Caitlin O’Connor recently. They first sparked dating rumors in when they were spotted in Venice, California on a gym date only two months after Joe filed for divorce.
“Joe’s not trying to rub it in Sofía’s face,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “But he does feel like enough time has passed.”
“She’s clearly still upset,” they went on. “Especially now that Joe’s publicly showing off his new, younger girlfriend.”
However, the same source suggested that Joe’s new relationship could be the motivation Sofia needs to get back in the dating game – and based on the recent paparazzi photos, this seems to be true.
“Who knows, though, maybe seeing Joe move on will encourage her to do so, too,” they explained.

After Sofia and Joe revealed their divorce plans in July, various reports claimed their split primarily due to a disagreement about having children. Sofia, who already has a 31-year-old son from a previous relationship, apparently has no desire to have more kids at the age of 51. In contrast, Joe, who is 47, reportedly feels a strong desire to have biological children, hence the separation.
So far, Sofia hasn’t not publicly commented on her romance with Dr. Saliman.
