Sofia Seemed Offended By Kelly’s Comments On Her New T.V. Show
Kelly questioned how much of a physical transformation Sofia took on for the show, remarking that it seems like only her nose was changed to better suit the character.
“This is incredible… I feel like they only changed your nose or something.” Kelly said after she shared a video from the show’s TikTok account with the audience. However, Sofia seemed taken aback by Kelly’s comment, as she replied, “What? Are you crazy?”
Kelly continued to insist that the transformation didn’t seem very dramatic, adding, “Whatever they did though, it looks slight.”
However, Vergara kept pushing back, claiming she was in the makeup artist’s seat for hours before filming, emphasizing the commitment she took on for the highly-anticipated role. “No Kelly, it was hours. They did a lot to me! It was teeth. It was a wig. It was my nose. It was plastic from here to here!” Sofia explained.
When Kelly then tried to clarify her earlier comments, Sofia was swift to interrupt her, even telling her to “shut up” while the cameras continued filming. Sofia said, “It was a wig! Shut up. It was a wig. It was a lot!”

But despite Clarkson’s long history with T.V. that clearly didn’t stop her from getting into an uncomfortable situation with Vergara, though she seemed to try to do her best to continue the interview after the tense moment.
Sofia Underwent A Dramatic Transformation For Griselda
Kelly’s show isn’t the only time Sofia has opened up about the intense transformation she underwent for Griselda. She made similar comments to PEOPLE Magazine recently.
"It was a lot of work, it was a lot of preparation," the Modern Family alum explained. "I had to really investigate what it meant to be a woman in that era. A mother, a Colombian woman… that turned into this monster. So, it was a really difficult task for me to understand it."
She even said she was able to find similarities between her and her onscreen character, explaining, "We are both Colombian, we are both immigrants, we are both mothers, we are both women. So I did relate to her a lot."
Griselda will debut on Netflix on January 25, 2014.
