Davies-Gaetano agreed that the two immediately hit it off. “Sofía articulated a clear vision for the project. She wanted a home that felt ethereal yet grounded, something fresh, clean, and bright, with lots of great antiques that added patina and warmth to the architecture,” the designer explains. “It had to feel layered and curated. Sofía wanted to tell a particular story."

Despite the design of the house when Vergara first purchased it, she knew there was potential, especially given the stunning layout and landscape of the home.

“There were arches on top of arches, all with columns. It felt like a castle in Transylvania. But the layout was perfect, and I loved that you could see the landscape from every room, even though there wasn’t much of a garden to look at yet. I knew what I would do to make it my own,” she revealed with AD.

It all worked out in the end. Though Vergara admits there is a specific room she uses more than the others in the home.

Sofia Vergara Revealed She Doesn't Use The Kitchen Very Much

According to Vergara, the most utilized part of the home is the kitchen area. Sofia admits she tries to steer her guests into the living area, but the kitchen remains the most popular area. Nonetheless, the actress revealed she doesn't cook very often, and that won't change at any point in the future.

She said, "This magnificent stove is La Cornue. I don't know anything about it because I do not cook. I don't want to learn how to cook. But my son is great at cooking and he said this what we needed."

Despite the lack of cooking, Vergara revealed she loves to have people over, especially family from Columbia.

“I love decorating for parties, setting beautiful tables, and watching people enjoy my home,” she says. “My friends from Colombia find any excuse to visit. There’s just something about this place that makes guests want to stay. It’s special. I still wake up every day thinking, I can’t believe this is my life.”

We certainly don't blame her friends from Columbia for wanting to visit. The home is truly spectacular and better than most five-star-resorts.
