In 2014, Bravo premiered the first-ever season of Southern Charm, which followed the personal lives of socialites living in Charleston, South Carolina. The show is now back for its tenth season and promises to bring even more drama than its previous one.
Season 9 left off with Austen Kroll in the middle of a scandalous love triangle with rumors that he slept with best friend Shep Rose's ex, Taylor Ann Green, which caused the end of her and Olivia Flowers' friendship. There was also the feud that lasted all season long between newbie Jarrett "JT" Thomas and Austen that ended in an explosive physical altercation.
The Season 10 trailer not only sees new feuds, but three new faces. Additionally, viewers will not see some cast mates returning. But will Season 10 deliver the same intense drama?

Southern Charm Season 10 Sees Familiar Faces In New Drama
Southern Charm is back and with it comes OG castmates finding themselves in drama-filled situations among one another. Right from the start, the Season 10 trailer sees Craig Conover finding himself divided among his best pals Shep Rose and Austen Kroll. In the trailer, Craig is heard stating, "You can either accept the life that I live now or not." Further into the clip, Craig's girlfriend, Paige Desorbo, finds herself in between the men's feud, and an old flame coming back to haunt Craig.
The Season 10 trailer also sees Taylor Ann Green debuting her new boyfriend, Gaston Rojas, who has a romantic connection to a new cast mate, Shep declaring he's in love with a Southern Charm fanatic, Madison LeCroy discussing her marriage to Brett Randle, and JT admitting he has feelings for Venita Aspen. That's certainly a lot to unpack in just one season...
Of course, no season wouldn't be complete with a friend's group trip and this season sees the cast heading to the Bahamas. At the end of the trailer, chaos ensues among the friends during a group dinner that sees fingers pointed at just about everyone.

The Cast Of Southern Charm Ranked By Net Worth
The cast of Bravo's 'Southern Charm' have net worths that range from really low to really high; here's who the poorest (and richest) are.
Who Are The New Castmates Joining The Charmers?
Season 10 sees OG castmates like Craig, Shep, Austen, and the beloved Patricia Altschul returning, but the season introduces three new faces to the inner Southern Charm circle.
The first person introduced in the trailer is Molly O'Connell, who looks like a very fun and goofy person to be around with. She hangs out with Madison, who calls her, "weird, but in a good way," and admits that she and Craig used to "sext" back in the day.
"I mean, I'm not trying to steal him from Paige or anything..."
Molly made an appearance on the show back in Season 6, and she knows the cast quite well. In fact, she's a true Southern Belle and was raised in Charleston, making her the perfect fit for the show. Molly might also look very familiar to reality TV fans. She was the runner-up in Cycle 16 of America's Next Top Model, with her hair makeover going viral. The star was also a guest in Season 7 of Below Deck.
OG Southern Charm castmembers still on the show | Seasons |
---|---|
Craig Conover | 1-10 |
Shep Rose | 1-10 |
Whitney Sudler-Smith | 1-3, downgraded to friend 4-10 |
Austen Kroll | 4-10 |
Leva Bonaparte | Guest 1-6, Main 7-10 |
Patricia Altschul | Friend 1-10 |
The second newcomer introduced in the trailer is Salley Carson. Interestingly, she also has a connection to these Charmers. Paige and Madison sit down with Salley, who admits that she and Taylor's new boyfriend, Gaston, used to date. However, that's not all. She and Shep also hooked up. It appears Sally and Taylor have a lot in common.
Salley also has quite a reality TV background. According to Bravo, she was sort of on The Bachelor, during Clayton Echard's season, but self-eliminated herself on day one. She made an appearance on the spinoff Bachelor in Paradise and Southern Hospitality, in which she was Joe Bradley's love interest, but he found out that she had kissed Gaston, who so happens to be Taylor's new boyfriend.
Charleston is small, isn't it?
The third new charmer that didn't get much screen-time in the Season 10 trailer is Ryan Albert. Ryan is a good friend of Patricia's and, according to the series' press release about the new member, he is "a true Southern gentleman within Charleston’s elite social scene. Along with his husband, Dr. Eddie Irions, he’s among Patricia’s closest friends."
Bravo also shared that Ryan is a stay-at-home husband, which is certainly not a bad thing. He's also described as "a prominent figure in Charleston's elite social scene" and someone who loves to entertain.

Who Won't Be Back For Season 10
Besides the OG cast members, returning to Season 10 will also include Venita Aspen, Leva Bonaparte, Madison LeCroy, Taylor Ann Green, Rodrigo Reyes, and Whitney Sudler-Smith. Who won't be back for more drama? Olivia Flowers.
Fans were shocked that Olivia was not going to be a part of the following season, since she was caught up in Austen's love triangle. Season 9 saw Olivia feuding with her former best friend, Taylor, and having a short-lived romance with newcomer Rod Razavi, who will also not be making an appearance in Season 10.
Speaking on Scheana Shay's Scheananigans podcast, Olivia revealed that she was fired from Southern Charm and was totally blindsided by the move. According to Olivia, she believes her firing was the result of her not hanging out in Charleston as much after she began dating her now-fiance.
"I got the call. The production company was just like, 'You don't really seem to be in Charleston that much. We're noticing on your Instagram you're in Texas, you've got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you're choosing a different path.'"
Unfortunately, Rod also got the boot from Southern Charm after appearing in only one season. Rod was good pals with JT and fit in well with the inner circle of friends. There isn't much information out there about the producers' decision to cut Rod, but it may be because they also fired Olivia, with whom he shared a kiss in Season 9. According to Rod's Instagram profile, it reads, "Former Reality TV guy."
Another Southern Charm star that shockingly revealed he was no longer being a part of the show was newbie JT. After two seasons, he shared on Instagram that he had decided to resign to focus on his health. Fans will see JT throughout the new season, but it isn't clear if he will be in the season in its entirety.
Season 10 of Southern Charm returns to Bravo on December 5 at 9 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
