Reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt lost their home in the Pacific Palisades wildfire, and Spencer shared some truly horrifying clips of the blaze via TikTok.

Spencer and Heidi became famous on the mid-2000s MTV hit The Hills, and they've remained notable in the years since.

The Pacific Palisades wildfire was first reported on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, and it quickly became a life-threatening danger, per the BBC:

"Across the city [of Los Angeles], more than 30,000 have been forced to evacuate their homes as winds stoke three fires. A state of emergency has been declared, leaving roads gridlocked as people flee.

"Among them, a number of famous faces have been forced to flee their usually idyllic California homes, including Star Wars' Mark Hamill and Schitt's Creek actor Eugene Levy."

As the Pacific Palisades fire raged, Spencer provided updates about his and Heidi's house via social media, and TMZ described an early Instagram Story he shared:

"Spencer was photographed outside his home where he understandably looked upset and in distress as he watched the fire spread."

Spencer posted increasingly frightening updates on Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok as the fire edged closer to their home.

'Say A Prayer For The Palisades'

Sometimes, the chronological progression of social media posts during a disaster is painful to watch, which was the case with two TikTok posts from Spencer Pratt.

Spencer was keeping fans abreast of how his and Heidi's house fared via social media, and together, his posts told a short and sad story.

The first of two, shared late in the day on January 7, depicted a calm but unsettled Spencer describing a distant cloud of smoke for TikTok followers:

At the beginning of the video, Spencer says "whew," and pans to show a massive plume in the distance.

He points out "the town" and "one helicopter," and asks followers to "say a prayer" for the neighborhood.

Commenters were terrified for Spencer and Heidi, and one wrote:

Please be safe. I’m so, so sorry.

Four hours later, Spencer shared a second TikTok clip, his most recent at press time.

That video ominously begins with a shot of fire, and it's all you can see.

The only sound is a deceptively soft crackling against the backdrop of a gigantic blaze:

Spencer's second TikTok was visually arresting, and he eventually depicts the massive inferno from other angles.

It's still daylight in the video, and his caption is heartbreaking:

Nightmare came true.

One commenter simply replied: "This is gut wrenching 😭"

Another said: "I just saw his snap. It was hard to watch 😭"

Spencer remained active on Snapchat during the wildfire, and on January 7, he said on the app:

"I'm watching our house burn down on the security cameras."

Per E!, Spencer's sister Stephanie confirmed that his and Heidi's house was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades fire: "Just spoke to my dad - he tried to save my brother's [Spencer's] house, but the wind is so strong there was nothing he could do. My parents evacuated safely and are watching the fire rage towards their house on security cameras."

Spencer, Heidi, and their sons – Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2 – evacuated before the fire reached their home, and while they're safe, Stephanie said she was "beyond heartbroken for [her] brother, Heidi & the kids."
