Angry fans aren't buying Blake Lively's apology for mocking Kate Middleton and feel she has to do more.

Stephen Colbert Regrets Fueling Rumors About Kate Middleton
Stephen Colbert made headlines not so long ago during his monologue on his talk show when he made several remarks and jokes about the Princess of Wales. At the time, the mystery around Kate Middleton's whereabouts was the object of many jokes and rumors, and the host played into them, which he now regrets.
"Two weeks ago, we did some jokes about that mystery... When I made those jokes, that upset some people, and even before her diagnosis was revealed," Stephen Colbert said. "I can understand that a lot of my jokes have upset people in the past and some of my jokes will upset people in the future," he continued, "but there’s a standard that I try to hold myself to, and that is I do not make light of somebody else's tragedy."
He concluded by sending his love and respect to Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their children.
"Far too many of us know that any cancer diagnosis of any kind is harrowing for the patient and for their family," he said. "Though I’m sure they don’t need it from me, I and everyone here at The Late Show would like to extend our well-wishes and heartfelt hope that her recovery is swift and thorough."
This did not satisfy royal fans, who remarked that he hadn't directly said sorry, but other people defended Stephen Colbert, saying he was genuinely remorseful and that he didn't need to apologize for jokes that meant no harm.
Stephen Colbert's Controversial Joke
One of the conspiracy theories that surrounded the Prince and Princess of Wales during Kate Middleton's retreat from the public was that she had stepped away because Prince William was cheating on her.
The alleged affair partner was Lady Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, who was quick to deny the rumor, but before she got to do that, Stephen Colbert used the rumor to make jokes during his monologue.

Kate Middleton's Uncle Apologizes For Fueling Conspiracy Theories As She Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
Gary Goldsmith fueled rumors with his statements about Kate Middleton's marriage to Prince William, and now deeply regrets his words.
"The kingdom was in a state of panic about the apparent disappearance of Kate Middleton. Well, internet sleuths now believe Kate’s absence may be linked to her husband and future King of England, William, having an affair," he said back then. "According to the tabloids at the time, when Kate confronted him about it, he laughed and said there was nothing to it. Always a good response when your wife accuses you of cheating."
He went on to point out Lady Rose as the suspected mistress, and also joked about the strange pronunciation of her noble title. He's clearly regretful now of having fueled this particular rumor, but while it's good he shared his remorse, it's unlikely the Princess of Wales is focused on anything other than her recovery,
