However, there was a moment that topped that awkwardness. Colbert was put in a tough spot after Diane Keaton accused the host of harassment during their awkward interview. In truth, Keaton was all over the place throughout the interview, and almost walked off the set during Colbert's exit speech.

The interview took a turn after the two embraced with a hug.

"Oh my god," she says while smacking Colbert in the chest. "I'm bringing you up on charges, you touched me." Colbert jokingly responds, "As well you should. We're gonna makeout as soon as the cameras go off."

Despite the awkwardness, this time fans had Colbert's back over the interview.

"She's wasted, obviously. This is hilarious, he so wasn't ready for this. It's good to see a guest who keeps him on his toes."

Another fan wrote, "So I'm not alone! That was the strongest interview I've seen. She was serious and rude one minute and laughing the next. I walked away from that not liking her at all. She's crazy and I used to like her," another fan wrote.

Colbert himself clearly wasn't bothered by the interview as he called Diane Keaton his biggest crush among all his guests.
