Just like Chad Michael Murray experienced big changes after One Tree Hill, Stephen Colletti has done a lot in the time since. Unlike some other reality stars, Colletti was able to easily transition to an acting career, and he has had a lot on his plate.

Who Did Stephen Colletti Play On One Tree Hill?

In several episodes of One Tree Hill, Chase bonds with a young kid named Chuck Scolnik. He hates learning that Chuck comes from a terrible home and that his father hurts him. Chase and Chuck's friendship is one of the sweetest parts of Chase's character arc.

In 2011, Stephen Colletti was interviewed by Seventeen and explained that he was really grateful to have starred on One Tree Hill.

He said, "Who I was back then, when I started on One Tree Hill, is so different from who I am now. Coming off Laguna, being 19 years old, and thrown into this odd, ridiculous spotlight, wasn't for me. There have always been haters, and people don't want to give you a chance, or the benefit of the doubt, but this show gave me an opportunity. And now, I've found something that I enjoy doing, so it's been good."

Did Stephen Colletti Keep Acting After One Tree Hill?

After Stephen Colletti played Chase Adams on One Tree Hill, he took on a few other acting roles. He played Teddy Reynolds in Hit the Floor from 2013 to 2016.

He also starred in a few made-for-TV movies such as Hometown Christmas, The Wedding Do Over, and Status: Unknown. In 2015, he played Austin Nicholas in the coming-of-age movie Summer Forever. Colletti also showcased his creativity with the TV comedy Everyone is Doing Great. He not only played Seth Stewart but also directed, produced, and wrote for the series. He teamed up with his One Tree Hill co-star James Lafferty, who played Nathan Scott on the teen drama. According to Variety, while the show got a first season that streamed on Paramount+ and Hulu, Lafferty and Colletti were hard at work on season 2 in February 2023.

Everyone Is Doing Great is definitely inspired by the actors' time on One Tree Hill. The main characters are good friends who are dealing with the fact that they used to be TV stars and now they have to pick up the pieces of their lives.

In 2021, Colletti and Lafferty talked about Everyone Is Doing Great in an interview with MTV. They talked about the theme of the show, which is that being a young adult is difficult no matter how famous someone is.

Colletti said, "There's a wonderful era of invincibility when you're in your twenties. As that starts to fade and you reach your thirties, and your world starts to become smaller and responsibilities weigh heavier, it can really take away some of that ambition to just go out and say, ‘Screw it. I'm going to go get it done.’ The things that could go wrong creep into your mind more and I think hold us back from getting to those places."

Colletti added to MTV, "It's really hard, I think, to set out once you're in your thirties or approaching middle age, to have these goals, big aspirations and dreams and go after them just because you're much more hardened by the world up to that point."

What Does One Tree Hill Star Stephen Colletti's Life Look Like Today?

While Stephen Colletti hasn't acted in a few years, he stayed in the public eye because he is the co-host of the podcast Back to the Beach alongside his Laguna Beach and The Hills co-star Kristin Cavallari. Season 1 of the podcast was a huge hit and fans loved hearing stories about filming the two popular reality shows.

He explained, "I'm truly appreciative of all who came aboard to help us tell the story of season one. Our guests, along with Dear Media, made the response to season one remarkable and I'm speechless for it. I can only hope to find the words fast because there's much to discuss with season two. Listeners should get in and buckle up, this will be another wild ride down memory lane."

All options on table. We love Hulu, we love P+. Would be great to land there again."
