When Netflix released the first To All The Boys I've Loved Before movie in 2018, it became an instant success. The young cast, including Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, had a lot of fun making the movies behind the scenes.
The complete movie trilogy is based on a book by Jenny Han, who also wrote The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy, another coming-of-age teen romance.
Amazon is now adapting The Summer I Turned Pretty books into a limited series show featuring a young cast. The book adaptation follows the success of other streaming service book adaptations such as Normal People and White Lotus. It's the story of teenager named Belly, whose childhood crushes turn into something more complicated and chaotic one memorable summer. While some actors are newcomers, others are recognizable in the sweet summer romantic comedy.
8 Lola Tung
The star of the series, Lola Tung is a newcomer to television. She graduated from the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, the same school that Timothée Chalamet attended in New York City. Lola Tung currently attends Carnegie Mellon college, where she's an acting student. She will make her on-screen debut as Belly, a love struck teenage girl who looks forward to spending the summer with her mom's best friend's family.

Rachel Blanchard is a successful Canadian actress known for her roles as Cher in the TV adaptation of Clueless, her role in the movie Fargo, and roles in both British and Canadian sitcoms. She plays Susannah in The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly's mom's best friend at their summer vacation houses.
6 Jackie Chung
Jackie Chung is an American actress and a writer who has appeared in popular shows like Grey's Anatomy and Station 19. She's also acted in several short films and wrote a mini TV series called Finding My America. Jackie Chung plays Laurel, Belly's mom and Susannah's best friend in the Amazon show, leading to a complicated mother-daughter relationship.
5 Gavin Casalegno
When he was just 11 years old, Gavin Casalegno became famous for his role in the movie, Hear Me Whisper. He went on to have a role in the well-known Vampire Diaries series and dated the well-known model Larsen Thompson. In The Summer I Turned Pretty, Gavin plays Jeremiah, who gets himself caught up in a love triangle between Belly and his own brother, Conrad.
4 Christopher Briney
Christopher Briney plays the other corner of the love triangle between Belly and Jeremiah. Somehow, both Fisher brothers, Jeremiah and Conrad, develop feelings for Belly in the series. Since graduating from Pace University, Christopher Briney's acted in a few short films. According to The Focus, he's also fond of stage acting and has appeared in a few Shakespeare plays.
3 Minnie Mills
In a departure from the book series, Minnie Mills' character Shayla has a different name and identity than her book counterpart. Minnie Mills is an on-screen newcomer who discussed her role with The Today Show as a part of their piece celebrating Asian-American representation in American pop culture. Shayla is Belly's best friend, and she's also the "it girl" at school.
2 Alfredo Narciso
Alfredo Narciso plays Clevland in the show, a character not present in the book series. He's a veteran actor of TV and theater, appearing in hit shows like Law and Order, Blue Bloods, All My Children, and other popular series. He's performed in two Broadway shows before, including A Streetcar Named Desire, and also has an illustrious career in off-Broadway plays.
1 David Iacono
David Iacono plays Belly's first boyfriend, Cam, in the series. Like Lola Tung, he graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. Before The Summer I Turned Pretty, he appeared in The Flight Attendant and a few other shows, including The Good Doctor. In 2014, David even made a brief appearance in an SNL sketch, posing as a Frida Kahlo portrait.
