In an interview with Risen Eisen on The Rich Eisen Show, the marvelous Henry Cavill, who is known for his performance as Superman was asked what his gaming man-cave looked like and he surprisingly revealed that he doesn't have a man-cave but in reality, he lives in a small Mews house in London, which is similar to an old stable.
It's not huge; Cavill's computer desk is in his very small living room where he usually plays his PC games in his free time such as Overwatch and World of Warcraft.
It's A Stable, Not A Barn!
Cavill justified that his house doesn't look like a stable and that you won't find the elements of one either, like sawdust, horses or hay, but he wasn't too shy to joke about it with Eisen.
Isn't it ironic for him to play Clark Kent who was raised in Smallville, Kansas?
Moreover, in an interview with GQ Magazine, the Cold Light of Day actor stated that he would rather be at his old stable home right now playing his favorite PC games--perhaps Total War: Warhammer II, in shorts and a T-Shirt, while eating a bag of tortilla chips, then go out and seek attention or fame.
"At home, I get to sit playing games for ridiculous amounts of hours and escape there, because going outside has the opposite side effect," he said.
Loves To Play Games In The Comfort Of His Home
What's amusing is that you just might be playing your favorite game on your PC with Cavill but you just won't know it!
It's all thanks to Cavill's love and passion for games that he got the role in Netflix's fantasy drama series, The Witcher, where he plays the role of a mutated monster-hunter named Witcher Geralt who struggles to find his place in a world where there's no good or bad, but only people trying to survive.
Furthermore, Cavill was well aware of The Witcher before it even turned into a series as he used to play the game version of the famous series and would often go, "Oh, this could be a great movie or TV show."
Soon after, he had put his agents on duty to keep calling Netflix every day to ask them if there were any updates about The Witcher series. Eventually, he got the role and as we can see, he has done one hell of a great job at it.
When He's Not At His Old Stable, He's Strolling Around London
Nowadays, the 37-year-old British actor lives in South Kensington, London when he's not working. So when you're in London, you just might bump into The Man from U.N.C.L.E star strolling the streets of the capital. Just like any of us, he walks into bookstores and cafes, and even though he's recognized by his fans at just one glance, he feels comfortable.
Despite loving the coziness of his stable-turned-house and playing games all day, Cavill disclosed that he loves walking around Hyde Park with his dog, Kal, as well.
"The fragrance of the greenery right at the beginning of autumn and in the peak of spring is just indescribable," he said, adding that "it can only be felt."
