Sydney Sweeney Had $800 In The Bank At The Time Of Her Grey's Anatomy Cameo

However, like other actors, Sweeney had struggles in the past. She was 17 at the time of her Grey's Anatomy cameo and just a year later, Sweeney told THR she didn't have much in the bank.
“I thought that if I made enough money, I’d be able to buy my parents’ house back and that I’d be able to put my parents back together,” she says. “But when I turned 18, I only had $800 to my name. My parents weren’t back together and there was nothing I could do to help.”

Fans Praised Jimmy Fallon For His "Appropriate" Eye Contact During His Interview With Sydney Sweeney
As per usual, Sydney Sweeney was looking fantastic during her debut on The Late Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
Sweeney moved to LA at the age of 13 in order to follow her dreams. However, given how expensive the LA lifestyle was, the family had to settle on a tiny housing situation.
"We lived in one room. My mom and I shared a bed and my dad and little brother shared a couch.”
Sweeney admits what made her journey that much harder was the lack of connections she had throughout her career.
"The rejection you get while you’re trying to learn to be yourself is insane,” she says. “It’s insane how adults look at you. I had no idea getting into this industry how many people have connections. I started from ground zero, and I know how hard it is. Now I see how someone can just walk in a door, and I’m like, ‘I worked my f***** ass off for 10 years for this.’"
It was a tough road for Sweeney, and although she achieved great success, the actress didn't love every role she took on.
Sydney Sweeney Admits She Wasn't Excited For Every Role
Credit to Sweeney who is also a realist when it comes to her Hollywood career. Sweeney revealed she wasn't proud or excited about all of her past roles. Who knows if that includes Grey's Anatomy... Nonetheless, Sweeney admits her career has been up and down, especially in the past.
“As an actor, you audition for everything, and you just cross your fingers and hope and work hard to get in the room,” Sweeney said. “Was I proud of all of them [or] super excited about all the characters? No. Did I wish I could make changes and be more a part of the process and be more assertive? Yes. But I was in no position to be able to do so.”
Sweeney went on to reveal that her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films helped open the door to more suitable projects. “I’ve been really lucky [that] most of the recent projects that I’ve been in in the last five or six years [were] with filmmakers who were collaborative,” she said. “It’s a really amazing place to be.”
Still only 26, Sweeney had quite a future ahead of her.
