Alexandra Daddario Had A Blast Shooting The White Lotus During The Pandemic
HBO's The White Lotus continues to receive some serious praise from the media, all over the Emmys at the moment. Not only is the series a major success thus far, but the stars had just as much fun shooting.
Alexandra Daddario in particular raved about her experience on-set, stating alongside Forbes that despite the pandemic precautions, the cast got along and had a great time.
"It was amazing to get to do what I love to do with such incredible people, and I think the focus on health and the world around us made us appreciate what we were doing so much more."
"There was gratitude and also the pain of being quarantined away from family and friends, so we all supported each other and helped each other while also feeling immense joy and gratitude."
Under the role of Rachel Patton, Daddario is thriving in the series. She thanks the similarities of the character for the transition into the role.
"I know what it's like to be trapped in a situation that you don't have the self-confidence to get out of. Those feelings of confusion that Rachel has—the constant over-thinking of "oh everything is ok, this is somehow my fault."
"And oscillating between that and "I have to get out and I have to make the other person understand how I feel," only to realize you're up against a wall—those are very familiar to me, and very painful."
Along with the success, the actress has a few beach scenes, showcasing her physique. Fans are more than impressed and wondering what it is she's doing off camera.
Moderation In The Diet And Training Is Key For Daddario
Unlike her Baywatch co-star Zac Efron, who went all out for his role in the film, Daddario has more of an appreciation for the moderation approach. This ensures that she can stick to it long-term.
Alongside Women's Health, her trainer Patrick Murphy opened up about his experience alongside the actress. The trainer stated that Daddario is all about balance and does not like to feel restricted, especially in the kitchen.
"Though Alexandra becomes more disciplined when prepping for a movie role or photo shoot, year-round she enjoys everything in moderation,’ says Patrick. ‘She knows when she’s diving into an inflammatory food or beverage choice and, if it doesn’t happen frequently, it’s fine."
Her training style also consists of different approaches which includes a bit of strength, along with controlled movements. The actress admitted to a back injury in the past, though since training, it has gone away.
Yoga Movements And Positivity Are Essential For Alexandra Daddario's Well-Being
Along with workouts, Alexandra places a major focus on mental health through the likes of yoga. This is a constant practice for the actress, even when she isn't preparing for a certain role.
"I do a ton of yoga. I find it more than just physically beneficial, but also emotionally. It’s great to take an hour to just chill out, be away from your phone, and focus on positivity."
At the end of the day, feeling good is the name of the game, more so than anything else. Not only that, but the proper food choices also aid in a strong mental mind-set. Daddario shared some of her favorite foods that improve overall mood.
"Salads, fish, and rice, especially before a workout. I keep Lara bars in my purse. I also love avocados. I’ll cut one in half, put some olive oil and salt on it—that’s a healthy and filling snack."
