“No, they hired me three days before the show… So, I was not physically ready for it,” Tara revealed. “The backpack was so heavy on me. I had no chance… It didn’t work so well.”

“They had a 350-pound football player and then you have little me wearing the same size backpack,” she added.

The Sharknado star reflected on the online hate she received from the show, which reminded her of past press coverage when she was during her early years of fame.

“I would definitely say I’ve been through a lot of bullying in my life,” the actress shared. “It’s usually about my body… that I’m too skinny. It’s been going on for years, but there’s no eating disorder… I eat all the time — that’s not a problem for me.”

While Tara may have had to exit the show early, the American Pie star said she’s open to returning for a future season, should she have the chance to prepare properly. “I would do it again if I could start training right now!” Tara explained.

She further added that she felt proud for challenging herself to do Special Forces in the first place.

“I wanted to go on the show because I wanted to challenge myself to try to do something that I never thought I could do,” she explained. “It is not just a physical thing… It takes out a lot of the darkness that you’ve been fighting… I got a lot of that out.”

Tara has made a gradual return to Hollywood over the years after taking a break from the spotlight following a tumultuous time in the early 2000s at the height of her career. Tara reflected on her infamous partying days earlier this year when she opened up about the criticism she faced in the media. "I never did anything wrong […] I’ve never been to jail,” she told W Magazine.

"I was the first one that started this image. The difference is I never did sex tapes. I never did anything wrong — I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket," she went on. "But what I did get punished for, if I wasn’t at work and I wasn't shooting, I went to Europe right away. I’d be popping bottles, and having a great time. But who doesn't do that?"

Tara may be off of reality television for now, but given her eagerness to take on Special Forces again, fans likely haven’t seen the last of her.
