Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift fueled dating rumors this weekend when the pop star not only attended his Chiefs game but was seen bonding with his mother in the audience.
Taylor, 33, was photographed from a box at Arrowhead Stadium, where Travis, also 33, and his NFL team were facing off against the Chicago Bears. Swift was seen wearing a t-shirt that matched the team's red and white colors while seated alongside Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce.
Travis Kelce Publicly Invited Taylor Swift To Watch His NFL Game
Although Taylor nor Travis have confirmed the dating rumors, the fact that the singer is hanging out with his mom on a break from her Eras tour suggests there is something between them.
Taylor’s appearance at the NFL game comes after Travis sent her a flirty public message, which he used to extend an invitation to come see him play. “I told her, ‘You know, I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit,’” he said during an interview on the “The Pat McAfee Show” podcast released last week.
“We’ll see what happens in the near future,” the athlete said, teasing their romance further.
Travis also expressed how surprised he is that there’s been so much attention around their possible romance.
“Right now, it’s like a game in school called telephone,” he explained. “No one actually knows what’s going on, especially when you got Jason Kelce on live television telling people both sides — [saying] he doesn’t know, it’s true, this and that.”
Travis Kelce’s Brother Fueled The The Taylor Swift Dating Rumors
Travis was referring to his older brother Jason’s recent comment on the dating rumors. Jason only added fuel to the fire when he was playfully coy around the subject.
Earlier this month, Jason Kelce was directly asked if his brother was dating Taylor Swift. Following the Philadelphia Eagles' triumph over the Minnesota Vikings in Philadelphia on Thursday, September 14, Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles and the older brother of Travis Kelce, teamed up with his quarterback, Jalen Hurts, on the Amazon Prime postgame show for an interview.
At one point, Hall-of-Famer Tony Gonzalez shifted the topic, redirecting the conversation toward Jason's brother's romantic life and delving right into the recent dating rumors.
"I have a 15-year-old daughter," Tony began. "And she's a big fan of a certain pop star. And you have a family member... a brother, I think, and I've been hearing rumors that there's maybe some stuff. Can you comment?" To this, Jason replied, "I've seen these rumors. I cannot comment."
It was first reported in July that Travis tried unsuccessfully to give his phone number to Taylor via a friendship bracelet when he attended her Eras tour.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he explained while appearing on his “New Heights” podcast.
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he explained.
Though Travis’ plan to give Taylor a bracelet may have failed, he’s certainly on her radar now.
