Whenever people think that musician Taylor Swift's career has peaked, the Pennsylvania-born surprises them. In October 2022, the Grammy Award-winning artist released her tenth studio album "Midnights". With it, T-Swift wrote history by having 10 top-ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in the same week — something that no artist has ever achieved.

At the time of this writing, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has yet to begin. But it's already broken records. Here's what we know about the tour, how it's already different from Taylor's previous tours, and how it broke a notable record.

The Eras Tour Is Taylor Swift's Sixth Headlining Concert Tour

While Taylor Swift rose to fame in 2006 thanks to her self-titled album, it wasn't until the release of her second studio album "Fearless" that the singer went on tour. Fearless Tour began in 2009, and wrapped up in 2010.

Since then, Swift went on four more tours — the Speak Now World Tour (2011–2012), the Red Tour (2013–2014), the 1989 World Tour (2015), and the Reputation Stadium Tour (2018) — all of which were incredibly successful.

Anyone who has been following Taylor Swift's career knows just how much the artist enjoys performing live in front of her fans. When Swift had to cancel her Lover tour because of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the artist shared a heartfelt message on her social media, making sure her fans know just how much performing for them means to her.

"I'm so disappointed that I won't be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to. I miss you terribly and can't wait til we can all safely be at shows together again," Taylor Swift wrote in a statement at the time.

The Eras tour will be Taylor Swift's first tour after the coronavirus pandemic, and fans across the globe are eager to see their favorite artist perform.

Here's How The Eras Tour Will Be Different

Anyone who has been following Taylor Swift — and has seen her lice — already knows just how much effort the singer puts into her shows.

The Eras Tour hasn't even started yet, but it's already much different from the singer's previous tours. For instance, Forbes magazine called it "historically unprecedented," as the Ticketmaster website crashed once tickets for the tour went on pre-sale.

Fans were furious with Ticketmaster as many failed to get tickets, or waited in a queue just to be told their purchase didn't go through. Ticketmaster themselves called the demand for tickets "historic."

Because Taylor Swift hasn't been on tour in over four years, many of her fans have decided that they have to attend her Eras Tour. Prior to this, Swift's biggest break between touring was one year.

Apart from this, the singer's last tour was for her sixth studio album Reputation which was released in 2017. Since then, Taylor Swift released four new albums — "Lover" in 2019, "Folklore" and "Evermore" in 2020, and "Midnights" in 2022. The singer hasn't toured for any of them, which is why fans are expecting to hear some songs from those on her Eras Tour as well.

Many expect the Eras Tour to be "a well-oiled, out-and-out showcase of fan favorites and greatest hits, pulling from her entire back catalog," The Forty-Five writes.

In her Instagram post which announced the upcoming 2023 tour, Taylor Swift wrote that Eras will be "a journey through the musical eras of [her] career (past and present)."

According to Forbes, because of "the high demand for her return to touring, Swift added 17 shows to the “Eras” lineup, making it the biggest tour of her career, with over 50 dates." International dates for the tour are yet to be announced.

The Forty-Five says Taylor Swift took "squad goals to the next level" as she announced that artists like Paramore, Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Gayle, Beabadoobee, Gracie Abrams and Owenn will be joining her on tour.

Variety projects that the Eras Tour will outgross Taylor Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour which, as of writing, holds the all-time record for the highest-grossing tour in the US, with $266,100,000 from 38 dates. Considering that the Eras Tour will have 52 shows, it's almost safe to say that Variety's projection will come true.

Because of the high demand for tickets, the long pause between this tour and her previous one, as well as the fact that T-Swift released four albums since she last toured there is no doubt that the Eras Tour will be different from all of the singer's previous tours!
