Fans of The Bachelorette were really rooting for Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo to be one of those couples that makes it work in the long term. Sadly, they are not, and after four years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce. And it hasn't been one of those simple, amicable divorces either because things between the former couple appear to be contentious, resulting in Rachel reportedly having to pay thousands in spousal support.

‘Bachelor’ Star Rachel Lindsay Hints Her Prenup Demands Led To Bryan Abasolo Break-Up
After shocking fans with their divorce earlier this year, Rachel reveals they disagreed over a prenup.
Rachel and Bryan have been disagreeing about the amount of spousal support she should pay, but the Los Angeles Superior Court has now made the decision. InTouch Weekly reports that The Bachelorette star has to pay over $13,000 a month in temporary spousal support. But why so much? This is reportedly what Bryan needed to leave their shared home in North Hollywood, California.
Why Did The Court Order Rachel Lindsay To Pay Spousal Support?
When the pair announced their decision to divorce, it was Bryan Abasolo who cited "irreconcilable differences." Since then, things have not been without their complications, although the situation between the former couple may be close to resolving. The court documents obtained by InTouch Weekly allege: "[Rachel] is ordered to pay [Bryan] temporary spousal support in the sum of $13,257.00 per month." She must reportedly also cover his legal fees, amounting to $15,000, and $5,000 for his "forensic expert expenses."
Bryan wanted to move out of their shared home because living with his ex was obviously not ideal. "Our current living situation is very awkward and strained. We generally do not even talk to each other and try to avoid each other," he reportedly told the judge. "Rachel has security cameras outside our home. Only Rachel has the credentials to the security cameras, and Rachel can monitor my comings and goings."
He continued, "I want to move out of our family residence as soon as possible, but maintaining our standard of living is not financially feasible at this time."
Rachel was also able to share her side of the story, as she alleged that she was responsible for the majority of their shared bills. "Except for paying our gardener and 50% of our housekeeping costs, Bryan continues to reside in my house without contributing any funds to the carrying costs," she claimed.
Things Between Rachel Lindsay And Bryan Abasolo Take A Turn
Rachel Lindsay was reportedly not against paying spousal support, but they disagreed on the amount. She felt she should pay $9,882 a month, while InTouch reports Bryan wanted at least $16,275. The judge's ruling appears to meet them somewhere in the middle, as neither party was granted the sum they initially requested.

'Bachelorette' Jenn Tran Revealed Her Secret To Stay Out Of Drama
Jenn Tran is not interested in drama this season as she knows what she wants.
Fans of the former couple will know this is not the first time they have made headlines for their divorce and the bitter turn it took. In June, Lindsay briefly spoke about the divorce and its impact on her in an episode of her podcast, Higher Learning with Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay. She referred to it as "a difficult time" but chose not to give more details about what went wrong. "Now is not the time," she admitted. "[I'm] just trying to take it day by day."
