Several celebrities can thank their claim to fame after starring on a reality television show. For example, former The Bachelor and The Bachelorette stars became extremely famous after their stint on the show. Hannah Brown from Season 15 of The Bachelorette has become one of the most popular leads and her net worth certainly speaks for itself after her appearance.

There's also Tyler Cameron, who was a contestant on Hannah's season. Although he did not want to return as The Bachelor, he's in the spotlight more than ever. Especially, his dating life, which included model Gigi Hadid.

Fans may have forgotten that Dr. Travis Stork of The Doctors actually shot to fame after starring in Season 8 of The Bachelor. It's hard to believe the emergency medicine doctor can thank a dating show for making him famous. Let's look back on his time as the lead on The Bachelor.

Dr. Travis Stork Attempted To Find Love On The Bachelor

Before Dr. Travis Stork was giving medical advice on The Doctors, he was handing out red roses on The Bachelor. In 2006, Dr. Travis was the show's Season 8 lead and got to start his journey to find love in Paris, France.

Dr. Travis had an impressive resume as the show's lead. As TMZ reported, he was completing his medical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an emergency medicine physician in Nashville, Tennessee.

Finding love on reality television didn't work out well for Dr. Travis. At the finale, he chose contestant Sarah Stone, who seemed to be a perfect match as Sarah was a school teacher from Nashville.

However, Dr. Travis did not propose to Sarah. Instead, he gave her a diamond ring hanging from a necklace. He wanted to continue their relationship without rushing to the altar. It seemed like a smart move.

Sadly, the couple didn't last. Today reported that when the pair spoke to The Tennessean, they revealed they grew apart as they couldn't be seen with one another in public while the show aired.

"You're in Paris and you're part of this incredible experience, this fantasy world, and then suddenly you come back to Nashville, and living in the same city I think we thought was going to be a great thing. But instead, you're forced to pretend you don't know someone, for essentially the last four months," Dr. Travis said.

Not being able to see the person you proclaimed to want to spend the rest of your life with is certainly a tough situation to be in. It's possible that keeping quiet for that long period of time is just one reason why some of these The Bachelor and The Bachelortte romances don't last.

Although Dr. Travis' time on the show was very long ago, he was still happy to give advice to upcoming The Bachelor leads. When Nick Viall was the lead for Season 21, Dr. Travis told People that the best tip he could give Nick was to stay as authentic as he could.

"The thing that I always hold true to is if you are yourself, whether you are on TV or not on TV, whether you are handing out a rose, or not handing out a rose, if you're authentic, and you're yourself, you're going to be okay."
