After sharing a ten-year relationship with Diddy, R&B singer Cassie decided to call it quits with the music mogul in October 2018, following reports that the latter was hesitant on settling down with his ex-girlfriend.

It was a rough time for the 50-year-old, who would go on to learn that his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, who was also the mother of his two children, D’Lila and Jessie James, had passed away the following month from pneumonia.

Despite their breakup, however, Cassie was quick to offer her support for Diddy and his family after being spotted out and about with her former flame on numerous occasions - but by December 2018, the pair appeared to have cut all ties amid claims the King Of Hearts songstress was dating someone new, who she has since married and welcomed a baby with. Here's the lowdown.

Why Did Cassie Call It Quits With Diddy?

The news concerning their split first came about from a source via LoveBScott, who claimed that the former couple had separated months before the story had surfaced in the press but neither spoke about their split in the hopes that it would fall under the radar.

"They are indeed no longer together and haven't been for months,” a rep for Cassie confirmed to the publication.

After the news emerged, fans were in denial about their separation up until Cassie and Diddy began deleting all of their coupled-up photos on social media, which appeared to confirm that the two were, in fact, a thing of the past.

Also in October, Cassie started unfollowing everyone on her Instagram page, which appeared to signify that she wanted a fresh start while others suggested that she probably also wanted to distance herself from anyone associated with her ex.

Previous reports had claimed that the 33-year-old had taken issue with the fact that after a decade with the entrepreneur, she was still nothing more than his girlfriend - Cassie had hoped to settle down and get married to Diddy, but it appeared he wasn’t on the same page with her.

In February 2014, it was rumored that the father-of-five was planning on popping the question to the singer after telling fans on social media that he had purchased a special diamond ring for Cassie - but it turned out that the expensive jewelry was simply a gift.

Of course, it should also be mentioned that throughout their time together, Cassie and Diddy called it quits on a handful of occasions, and though they never spoke about their reasons for parting ways so often, she reportedly took issue with never being considered a priority to Bad Boy Records founder.

Their relationship was also plagued by infidelity allegations as multiple women were believed to have shared a fling with the rap superstar while he was still seeing Cassie.

Who Is Cassie’s Husband?

By January 2019, it was reported that Cassie was dating fitness coach and personal trainer Alex Fine, who Diddy initially hired to help his ex stay in tip-top shape.

But it appeared that as their romance was falling apart, Cassie became closer to Fine, who she would end up in a committed relationship with just months after her split with the Revolt TV CEO.

“Cassie wanted a personal trainer, so Diddy hired Alex for her,” an insider told People.

“Then Cassie and Alex started hooking up before her relationship with Diddy was over.”

Diddy, according to sources, felt betrayed by Cassie’s decision to move on with the man he hired as her personal trainer, and though he was quick to rant about their get-together on Instagram, he soon removed the posts and decided to let the issue go.

On June 13, 2019, the Me & U chart-topper announced she was expecting a baby with Fine, having taken to her Instagram page to make the announcement with a caption that read: "Can't wait to meet our baby girl.”

Fine also gushed about the joyful news on his platform, writing: “I promise to always come home with a great attitude and give our children and you undivided attention.

“I promise to always keep you and the child first nothing comes before you... You two are my greatest loves I have and will ever have. I cannot wait for the rest of our lives together and to raise a beautiful happy child in our beautiful happy life."

In August 2019, the doting duo became engaged and went on to tie the knot in October with a quiet wedding ceremony held in Malibu at sunset.

In the first 12 months of ending her relationship with Diddy, Cassie moved out of her ex’s home, started a new relationship, got engaged, found out she was pregnant and went on to tie the knot before the year’s end.

Their baby girl, Frankie Fine, was born in December 2019.
