After Bob the Drag Queen stood out on RuPaul's Drag Race, they were chosen to play The Traitors alongside the rest of the third season's cast. Since The Traitors premiered, Alan Cumming has gained many new fans who love how he performs as the show's host. However, The Traitors depends on memorable cast members like Bob the Drag Queen, who has certainly been one of the best parts of The Traitors' third season.

Unfortunately for Bob, however, he played Alan's popular reality show with some Real Housewives. Since Real Housewives fans care deeply about things like Jen Shah's prison sentence, and they've called out Denise Richards, they clearly are intense. When many Real Housewives fans became furious with Bob the Drag Queen, because of what happened in the castle, he told them to "get over it."

Why Bob The Drag Queen Told Real Housewives Fans To "Get Over It"

On January 9th, 2025, the first three episodes of The Traitors' third season premiered on Peacock. Unsurprisingly, millions of the show's dedicated fans were excited to watch those episodes as soon as they could.

As those fans quickly learned, Bob the Drag Queen played a huge role in those episodes. While many fans were overjoyed to see Bob in such a prominent role, many of them were very unhappy with how he was conducting himself.

During the first three episodes of The Traitors, Bob played a major role in Real Housewives stars Dorinda Medley and Chanel Ayan being "murdered." When Real Housewives fans were especially furious that Dorinda was taken out of the game so quickly, Bob told them to "get over it."

The day after the first three episodes of The Traitors Season 3 premiered, Bob the Drag Queen went live on his YouTube channel.

As anyone familiar with Bob will already know, he isn't shy about confrontations. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that Bob was willing to address the Real Housewives fans who were so mad at him for getting two of the franchise's stars out.

The Traitors Producer Explained What Made Dan Gheesling Such A Horrible Traitor

Big Brother legend Dan Gheesling's horrible tenure as a traitor was explained by The Traitors' producer.

During that livestream, which is incredible viewing for any fan of The Traitors, Bob speaks extensively. For example, Bob speaks about his impressions of the other The Traitors' Season 3 cast members going into the game and a lot of the events from the first three episodes.

Bob also addressed the fact that he was the one who brought up "murdering" Chanel Ayan. Clearly aware that Real Housewives fans were furious about Chanel and Dorinda Medley's early exit, Bob acknowledged their anger and then told them to let it go.

I know, guys. I know you're mad at me. I know you're mad at me. Get over it. Okay?

While simply reading that Bob said that, it may seem like he was dismissing the Real Housewives' frustrations.

Before Dorinda Medley was "murdered" during The Traitors Season 3, many Real Housewives fans were incredibly excited. Known as an agent of chaos with a huge personality, The Traitors viewers only got to see a hint of that when Dorinda was angry when players left money behind during a mission.

In reality, Bob explained during that livestream that he had no idea who Dorinda or Ayan were before entering the house with them. As a result, Bob made it clear that he had no idea that getting Ayan and Dorinda out of Alan's castle would deprive viewers of so much entertainment. In fact, Bob stated that he wasn't familiar with anyone in the castle before playing the game with them.

"I didn't know a single person. I did not recognize a single person in that house."

Given how famous some of The Traitors season three cast members are among reality show fans, that is an amazing statement.

Leah McSweeney Sued Bravo After Claiming Real Housewives Producers Tried To Get Her To Relapse After Struggling With Alcoholism

Real Housewives Star Leah McSweeney accused Bravo producers of trying to get her to fall off the wagon.

During the same livestream, Bob spoke about the decision to "murder" Dorinda at other points.

Even though the "murders" of two Real Housewives immediately angered some The Traitors fans, the show's third season is being embraced by many viewers. For example, a January 2025 Screen Rant article from after the first three episodes premiered was about how much the writer was enjoying the third season.

At one point, Bob repeated that he didn't know who Dorinda was. Furthermore, Bob stated that he had no idea Real Housewives fans would be so angry, and he also explained he didn't realize that removing Dorinda would make fans miss out.

"We decided that Dorinda is gonna be our kill. This really pissed people off on the Internet. Again, I don't know this woman. I don't know that she's this icon on Real Housewives. I don't know what she's causing the scene. I have no clue who Dorinda is. So I'm like, girl, kill her. I don't know. Let's pick someone because they're all strangers to me."

Finally, Bob explained during the livestream why targeting the Real Housewives made a lot of sense. As Bob explained, there were several Real Housewives who seemed close so they wanted to break them up.

"We all agree that a Housewife should go. That, we agreed on because the housewives have the strongest numbers. And people like, 'The Survivor people.' They're enemies. The Survivor people do not like each other. The housewives are friends. They are like buddies. The Big Brother people and the Survivor people have all backstabbed each other. They have all hurt each other. So they are not buddy-buddy. The housewives are a buddy-buddy, and we do not think they will turn on themselves unless they wanna make a point."

How Angry Were Real Housewives Fans That Bob The Drag Queen "Murdered" Chanel Ayan And Dorinda Medley?

When Bob the Drag Queen said people were pissed off at him during his YouTube livestream, that could have been an overstatement. However, a thread on the r/TheTraitors subreddit proves just how mad some people were at Bob.

The Traitors Fans Accused The Show Of Cheating To Protect Peter Weber

The Traitors fans have a pretty good reason to suspect that the show's producers rigged things to protect Peter Weber.

The same day as the aforementioned livestream, a fan on the subreddit posted about how angry they were at Bob. That fan made a post with a title that expressed how furious they were at Bob.

As a gay, I will never support Bob the Drag Queen anymore

In the text of that post, the fan made it clear they were outraged by Bob's role in Dorinda Medley's exit. "Dorinda would have made this season fantastic. She's an expressive drunk and the producers were banking on that."

The top most-upvoted response to that post was from someone who thought that there was no point in watching The Traitors' third season without Dorinda.

What are we doing here without Dorinda??

The next most-upvoted response argued that The Traitors' producers should have cheated to keep Dorinda in the game. "The producers should’ve intervened and stopped them. Keeping ROBYN over DORINDA? Wow. Just wow." Clearly, Real Housewives fans were really disappointed that Bob helped to get Doirinda "murdered."

The Traitors is a suspenseful reality competition series that blends strategy, deception, and psychological gameplay. Featuring a mix of celebrity and civilian contestants, the show places its participants in a secluded, castle-like setting where they must work together to complete physical and mental challenges in order to add money to a collective prize pot. However, hidden among the group are several “traitors” whose secret mission is to sabotage the team and eliminate—or “murder”—fellow players each night without being caught. The rest of the group, known as the “faithful,” must work to identify the traitors among them before they themselves are picked off. This constant battle between trust and suspicion creates an intense social game full of twists, alliances, and betrayals.

Based on the original Dutch series De Verraders, the U.S. version of The Traitors is hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming, whose theatrical flair and charismatic presence add a dramatic edge to the already tense atmosphere. Cumming’s hosting style strikes a perfect balance between cheeky and chilling, setting the tone for a game where nothing is ever quite as it seems. Each episode builds suspense as players strategize, form alliances, and attend the dramatic banishment ceremonies where accusations fly and emotions run high. As traitors secretly coordinate to avoid detection, the faithful must rely on their instincts, social perception, and sometimes sheer luck to survive. Combining reality TV drama with psychological intrigue, The Traitors offers a gripping and unpredictable viewing experience.
