During the first three seasons of The Traitors, a lot happened on the hit reality show that future players should learn from. For example, any future The Traitors players should learn from how "Boston" Rob Mariano turning on Bob the Drag Queen wound up breaking the Traitors. On top of that, future players should know about the outcome of Cirie Fields' brutal betrayal and that Nikki Garcia explained that her game ended for a very personal reason.

Since The Traitors Season 4 has already filmed, Johnny Weir, Tara Lipinski, and the Survivor players in the cast can't learn from the show's past anymore. However, The Traitors fans should take note that based on the show's history, it seems likely that Tara and Johnny could have no chance of winning in Alan Cumming's castle.

Why The Traitors History Makes It Seem Likely That Johnny Weir And Tara Lipinski Are Doomed On The Show

In June 2025, The cast for The Traitors Season 4 was announced, as articles like one from Entertainment Weekly revealed. Arguably the most out-of-the-box cast in the show's history, The Traitors Season 4 features several unexpected people.

Since they were the most stunnning additions, the casting of Michael Rapaport and Donna Kelce got the most attention. However, the cast for The Traitors Season 4 features another two people who don't seem like obvious stars for the show.

During The Traitors Season 4, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will be competing inside of Alan Cumming's castle. However, based on the history of The Traitors, it seems likely that Tara and Johnny will likely flop on the hit reality show.

Throughout their athletic career, Johnny and Tara have undeniably shown how dedicated they are to success.

In February 2022, NBC Bay Area published an article about Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski's Olympic skating careers. That article revealed that Johnny is a two-time Olympic athlete who competed at the 2006 Torino Games and the 2010 Vancouver Games. The article also revealed that Tara won an Olympic Gold Medal during the 1998 Nagano Olympics, when she was only 15 years old.

Two incredibly talented people, Tara and Johnny put in the hard work to both become world-class figure skating. Then, both became commentators who've worked together for years in the booth as they describe other figure skaters to viewers. It is that longstanding and well-documented bond that will likely doom Johnny ahd Tara during The Traitors Season 4.

When Tara and Johnny enter Alan Cumming's castle, many of their fellow competitors will certainly know who they are and how close they are. Not only that, the people who don't know about the duo's longstanding history will certainly learn very quickly.

Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski's Origins, According to Famous Birthdays

  • Johnny Weir was born on July 2nd, 1984
  • Tara Lipinski was born in June 10th, 1982
  • Johnny Weir was born In Coatesville, Pennsylvania
  • Tara Lipinski was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Looking at the history of The Traitors, walking into the game as such a closely-knit pair is likely to lead to Johnny and Tara quickly exiting.

During The Traitors Season 2, a pair of competitors entered the game as an undeniable pair. When they were competing in Alan Cumming's castle, Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan were a couple involved in a much-talked-about relationship.

Larsa Pippen is famous for being one of The Real Housewives of Miami's original cast members and the ex-wife of the Hall of Fame former NBA player Scottie Pippen. Marcus Jordan is the son of Scottie's former teammate, Michael Jordan, and a former college basketball player.

From the moment that The Traitors Season 2 began, it seemed like virtually everyone else bristled at such an obvious pair competing together.

Largely because of how transparent they were as a pair, Larsa and Marcus both left the game very quickly.

First off, Marcus became the second player to be "murdered" during the season's third episode. During the next episode, Larsa was "banished" by her fellow competitors.

Of course, Johnny and Tarar's situation is somewhat different since they aren't a romantic couple. However, the two former athletes are such an obvious pair that in terms of having an undeniable bond, Tara and Johnny might as well be married.

Since The Traitors players are always looking for an excuse to have someone else exit, the massive target on Johnny and Tara's back is like a neon sign to get them out. It only makes sense that one of the duo's The Traitors competitors will argue that Tara and Johnny have to go because of their day one alliance.

Johnny Weir And Tara Lipinski Still Have A Chance During The Traitors Season 4

While it seems likely that Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski won't be able to play The Traitors together for long, there are reasons to believe they could escape that fate. In fact, depending on how Tara and Johnny handle things, they could wind up doing well.

When Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan entered Alan Cumming's castle, they didn't do anything to downplay their bond. Instead, as fans will remember, it seemed like the pair were flaunting their relationship in the castle.

When Johnny and Tara start the game, their bond won't be able to be a secret. That said, Tara and Johnny don't have to seem like such a close pair that other players think that will be a detriment to their game. On top of that, it is possible that Johnny and Tara's bond could become a source of strength in the game.

During a game like Survivor, other players have to get out strong alliances because they inherently make their chances of winning the game smaller. However, The Traitors history actually points to why Tara and Johnny's bond could become the key to their success.

During The Traitors Season 3, the game was won by four members of the Faithful who were able to get to the end together. With that in mind, if other members of the Faithful trust they aren't Traitors, they could want to team up Johnny and Tara to make it to the end and win together.

Still, the fact remains, it seems much more likely that Tara and Johnny's bond could doom them than hold them up.
