Though Jake decided his relationship with April wasn't the one for him, he's met by Rae whose relationship with Zay ended just days prior. Jake opens up to Rae and tells her she's shown him that what a real relationship looks like with reciprocated effort. He then reveals that he did not propose to April, and that he's enjoyed the time he's spent with Rae. "You deserve the world," Jake says, followed by, "I'm gonna propose something to you." From his pocket, Jake retrieves two golden tickets that he reveals are good for a trip anywhere around the world for just the two of them. Rae accepts, and the two share a kiss, leaving the experiment a new couple.

Though he didn't get his happy ending, Zay gets his last 5 minutes of fame, admitting his breakup with Rae was not the way he wanted the experience to end. He says that prior to the experiment, his thoughts laid with what he needs to learn about his relationship. Now, without Rae, Zay has the freedom to consider himself and figure out what it is he deserves and needs. While things remain uncertain for his future, Zay takes pride in the ways he opened up over the course of the show, and is content leaving the experience a better man.
