Season 2 of The Valley is finally here, and the premiere episode didn’t hold back. Fans got a deeper look into what led Jax Taylor to check into an inpatient facility for professional help back in July 2024. In Episode 1, viewers learned that things spiraled after Jax discovered Brittany Cartwright had been messaging his former friend inappropriately on an iPad their son Cruz uses. At the time, Jax and Brittany were already separated.
Still, Jax admitted to completely losing control after finding out his ex-wife was hooking up with his former friend. When his friends heard about the explosive moment, something Brittany described as “terrifying," they agreed it was only a matter of time before he needed to get help, especially for the sake of his son.

The Valley Season 2 Will Focus On Jax Taylor Seeking Professional Help After An Explosive Fight With Brittany Cartwright
In the premiere episode of The Valley Season 2, fans learned about a very concerning night between Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor that saw him turn red. Both stars gave separate accounts as to what happened, with Jax describing that day he lost his cool to co-star Jesse Lally, as Brittany told her version of events to Jesse's ex-wife, Michelle Saniei.
Sharing similar stories, Jax told Jesse that he discovered Brittany sending inappropriate messages, including a "sexy video" to his former friend, Julian, when he looked at their son's iPad. "He flipped the coffee table, and it hit my knee," Brittany is seen telling Michelle, adding that it was a "terrifying" situation as Jax took out all his rage on her.
However, Jax admitted that how he handled the situation was totally wrong, especially since their young son was in another room. "I went full unhinged rage," he tells Jesse.
In an upcoming episode, we see Jax and Brittany having yet another tough conversation which ultimately leads the Jax's Studio City bar owner to seek professional help for his mental health.
Prior to getting into a car and heading to the inpatient facility, an explosive fight between Jax and Brittany is caught on camera. Seen screaming at Brittany at their home, he states, “What have you been doing the last five months?" To which she replied, “I hooked up with somebody while I was separated.”
In that same scene, Brittany is seen crying while she tells him, "I'm filing right away, I'm taking Cruz and getting full custody, and I'm putting a restraining order against you."
Brittany tearfully tells her ex, who is seen packing: "You need to go get help for yourself and for our son. He cannot grow up and become a person like you."
During a confessional, Jax shares, "Nobody wins in these situations." Viewers also learned from watching the first episode that because of Jax's rage, Brittany does not allow him to be with their son alone. A preview of what's to come also sees Kristen Doute speaking to Jax, where she tells him, "I don't understand how rock bottom for you is not right now." Additionally, Jax's co-stars and friends Jason Caperna and Danny Booko are seen comforting Jax and telling him that they think it's best that he get the help he needs.

Jax Taylor Enters An Inpatient Facility In The Valley Season 2
After the explosive moments with Brittany, and seeing his friends and co-stars urge him to get help, Jax is shown getting into a car and heading to an inpatient facility, where he will stay for 30 days.
"I don't want this to be my life anymore. I am going to a treatment center," he says in a confessional. While in the car, Jax admitted that he was "a little scared" of leaving and not seeing his son for a month. In yet another emotional scene, Jax is seen recording himself crying, stating, "Help me, because I can't be helped."
Jax admitted himself to an inpatient facility in July 2024. In an Instagram Story that month, he shared that he was seeking help so he can be a better father to his son. Brittany and Jax welcomed their son Cruz in April 2021.
"Trying to get better for you buddy, daddy loves you so much," Jax captioned a photo kissing Cruz.
Jax and Brittany wed on June 29, 2019. Their wedding was shown on a Season 8 episode of Vanderpump Rules.
After his month-long stay, Jax revealed that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. He also learned that he was a narcissist. On his then-joint podcast with Brittany titled, When Reality Hits, he shared, "So yes, I have to humble myself and say, ‘Do you think you’re a narcissist?’ And I do. I don’t know how I became one. [But] I do believe I’m a narcissist.”
He added, "And I’ve been this person for years and I had no idea. I was never held accountable for my actions for many, many years until recently — until people have had enough."
When Jax returned home from the inpatient facility, he was given divorce papers. However, he and Brittany have yet to finalize their divorce as of this writing.

What Else Can Fans Expect On The Valley Season 2?
While Jax and Brittany’s separation is set to be a major focus in Season 2 of The Valley, other relationships will also take center stage, like the now-divorced couple Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei. In the Season 1 finale, fans watched as Michelle made the decision to separate from her husband of over five years.
In Season 2, both Jesse and Michelle both share they are in new relationships. In Episode 1, Michelle brings her boyfriend, Aaron Nosler, to an event that Brittany threw. Although Jesse acted cordially towards Aaron, it was clear that he was being vengeful towards his ex-wife, admitting that he was seeking full custody of their daughter, Isabella, and threatening to move to Orange County. In a confessional, when Jesse was asked if his idea of moving away was to just get a rise out his Michelle, he stated, "A hundred percent."
Prior to his statement, Michelle already believed that Jesse was going to make their separation difficult. "He will do anything to ruin my life," she said.

Further, Jesse was seen speaking to Kristen privately where he claimed that all hell would break loose if he found out that Aaron was the same man Kristen believed Michelle was having an affair with while the pair were still married. That revelation was made in the first season.
"Kristen was very specific about Michelle dating somebody for a year. If I find out that Aaron was the boyfriend and the guy who broke up my marriage, that will not go over well," Jesse states.
Further, both couples, Janet and Jason Caperna, and Danny and Nia Booko, will have their own set of marital issues to conquer. Additionally, Kristen and Luke Broderick are trying for a baby, while both Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickham share insight into their dating lives.
The Valley Season 2 airs new episodes every Tuesday at 9/8c on Bravo. Peacock will stream episodes the next day.
