The start of The Valley Season 2 is heavily focused on Jax Taylor's decision to enter rehab for his mental health following an incident with Brittany Cartwright in which he hit rock bottom. In Episode 2, Jax is seen speaking to co-star Kristen Doute and telling her that he didn't think he had ever "gotten that mad in my life" after he learned that his estranged spouse was hooking up with a former friend.
Before Jax made the decision to seek professional help, he had one more heated confrontation with Brittany. She urged him to get help for the sake of their son, Cruz. The end of the episode sees Jason Caperna driving Jax to the inpatient facility where he will stay for 30 days.
The Valley Learns Jax Taylor Enters Rehab
Episode 3 kicks off where things left off with Jax Taylor entering a 30-day inpatient facility to seek treatment for his mental health.
The entire cast learns about Jax entering rehab. Danny and Nia Booko are happy to see their friend taking the right steps. Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, who are seen hanging out with Zack Wickham, Jasmine Goode, and her girlfriend, Michelle, are also told about Jax's major life choice. They are in disbelief that Jax actually decided to get help.
Jason Caperna, who drove Jax to the facility, headed over to Brittany Cartwright's house and reassured her that he had personally witnessed Jax check in and complete all the necessary paperwork, meaning that Jax would be taking it seriously. However, Jax went in with still a lot of anger towards Brittany.
"He's having a hard time with separating the fact that he's mad at you for whatever and that he needs to get help for himself," Jason tells Brittany. "He's like, 'Well, Brittany's doing this.' That's irrelevant," he adds. In a confessional, Jason admits that he is worried about Jax. Now that he's a father himself, he can't imagine reaching such a low point in life that you're not allowed to see your own child.
"Even Jax Taylor has to grow up at some point."
Janet Caperna and Michelle Saniei arrive at Brittany's house after learning the news. Before Jason leaves, Brittany shares that she still has doubts that this will help Jax change his ways. "I just hope that he really takes this seriously, and I'm scared he's just going to charm everybody and not tell the truth."
Brittany breaks down in tears while looking at Cruz. It has been a tough few years for her. The scene then flashes back to Brittany on Vanderpump Rules in 2015. "I'm not the same naive girl that was 26 that came from Kentucky and just was chasing a boy that I fell madly in love with after two months," she shares. "I'm a mother now. I have a human being that I have to protect. That changes everything."
Brittany tells Michelle and Janet that she threatened Jax with filing for divorce, a restraining order, and full custody of Cruz if he doesn't complete the 30-day stay. "If I were you, I would file tomorrow and not look back," Michelle insisted, with Brittany seemingly agreeing.

The Ages Of The Cast Of The Valley May Surprise You
The Valley Season 2 cast's Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have a nearly 10 year age difference.
It's All About The Honey
Kristen Doute and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, arrive at Jesse Lally's house where he presents them with a tea party, but it's more of a gossipy get-together. In a confessional, Kristen admits that she and Michelle are not on good terms. As fans saw in Episode 1, Kristen shared she was team Jesse all the way.
It comes as no surprise that the topic of conversation is all about Michelle. Jesse believes that Michelle and her new boyfriend, Aaron, were together when he was still married to her. He strongly suspects that she had been cheating with Aaron for some time.
As evidence, Jesse points to a jar of Aaron's honey—Aaron owns a honey business—that's been in their kitchen cabinet for two years. When he later finds out that Aaron’s honey isn’t sold in Whole Foods, he concludes that Michelle must have gotten it directly from the city where Aaron lives. Jesse even notes how unusual it was for Michelle to wear makeup and no wedding rings while hiking in the sweltering California sun, fueling his suspicions further. Both Kristen and Luke are in disbelief.
Jesse then shares that he planned a trip to Santa Barbara with all the cast, including Michelle and Aaron. This is certainly going to be a disaster.
Boys' Chat And A Billionaire
Kristen and Luke have been trying for a baby. She seems to be doing everything she can to get pregnant, even getting acupuncture twice a week. Kristen shares her personal story of pregnancy loss the year prior. She's extremely nervous that getting pregnant "might not be in the cards" after their devastating loss. Kristen is also hoping that she and Luke will get engaged.
While the women get acupuncture, Luke goes over to Danny's house, where the former admits that he's "been thinking about proposing for a while now." Danny then divulges that there is a boys' chat group with the men in the cast. In a confessional, Jesse shares that there are 20 or so men in the chat. Both Jason and Luke are not a part of it, and they seem glad they aren't.
"The No. 1 rule is what happens in boys' chat, stays in boys' chat."
Danny shares with Luke that in the boys' chat, Jesse claimed that Michelle has been "sleeping with a billionaire for $1,500 a night," which is how she's been affording her lifestyle. There is no way this accusation is staying in the group chat. In fact, Luke is the one to tell Brittany and Zack before they head over to Dave & Buster's for Janet's birthday. Kristen, who has been butting heads with Janet, gets an invitation, too.
A new scene sees Jesse and Jason meeting up, where we learn from Jesse that Danny may have a drinking problem. "He goes hard, and then he makes poor decisions when he's in the state." Jason then shares an incident in which Danny's excessive drinking had him crossing the line. At a party, Danny inappropriately touched Jasmine's significant other, Melissa. However, Danny apologized to both Jasmine and Melissa for what he did, but Jason still seemed concerned.
There is A LOT happening in this friend group, and it's only Episode 3.

The Valley Season 2: Where We Last Left Off Leading Up To The New Season
Here’s where the cast stands ahead of the Season 2 premiere of The Valley.
The Truth Comes Out At Dave & Buster's
Everyone attends Janet's birthday party at Dave & Buster's, except for Zack. But, before the games commence, Brittany pulls Nia and Michelle to the side to tell them what Luke told her about Jesse's boys' chat comments. "Since the moment I told Jesse I wanted to file for divorce, all he wants is revenge," Michelle shares in a confessional.
Danny, who is a part of the exclusive boys' chat, gets put in a corner after joining the women. Does he go against the No. 1 rule of boys' chat, or should he tell Michelle what he really knows? "This was said," Danny admits. Not only is his friendship with Jesse going to be questioned, but he's upset with Luke for being the one to tell Brittany.
Danny rushes to Jesse to let him know that Michelle knows all about his nasty accusation. Jesse, however, brushes it off as a joke, explaining that he and Jax were trying to identify the "mole" in their group chat. To do so, they would plant fake gossip to see who would leak the information. Jesse believes the mole to be Danny. "I don't think he understands the sanctity of this chat," Jesse says in a confessional.
Michelle wipes away her tears and gets a little revenge of her own. She goes around Dave & Buster's seeking all her friends to vote on whether Jesse should be excluded from the house during their group Santa Barbara trip and sleep in a hotel instead. However, Jesse planned this trip, and he finds what Michelle is doing "immature." Unfortunately for Michelle, the plan begins to backfire—some of their friends side with Jesse, and she quickly realizes not everyone is in her corner. Once again, Michelle is left in tears.
