Fans have made it known that there are plenty of things to hate about the Netflix hit, Emily in Paris. Emily Cooper has just messed up a lot — the hooking up with her friend's boyfriend, her refusal to adapt to the French culture, and her tacky fashion choices. No wonder the French media hated the series at some point. Though Lily Collins has always handled the backlash well, fans still wish she'd listen to some criticism and change some things in the storyline. After all, she's also a producer in the show.

10 Show That Emily Actually Works

Fans are just tired of Emily's unrealistic career similar to Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City, another Darren Star hit. They just find it "ridiculous" that "[whatever] idea comes to her mind that she just thinks is great for the client, she starts making arrangements, posting on IG without checking with her team and actual client... and never gets in trouble for it." Of course, viewers don't think her ideas aren't even that great. As one Redditor said: "She acts as if she is the most incredible person for the job ... ironic, the most incompetent masquerading as the expert."

9 Not Add Any More Characters

Fans are not fully on board with the new cast members in season 2. "Emily does not change at all," wrote a Reddit commenter. "They just introduce bad characters to make her look better." According to them, even Emily's new love interest Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) "is there not just as a romantic interest, but as someone who is even more ignorant than her about learning French." Hard to disagree with that. They also believe that Madeleine (Kate Walsh) "is obnoxiously 'American' so that Emily looks more polished, chic even, and better integrated into the company culture." That's a pretty good observation.

8 Get Rid Of The 'Episode Time-Filler' Singing

We can't deny that season 2 almost felt like a musical. Many viewers apparently hated it so much that they skipped all of those singing parts. "I skipped some of those parts and didn't lose anything," revealed a Redditor. "Whenever Mindy and the band are singing, the scene only contains audience's reactions and the view (unlike other shows where they keep the music on the background but show other scenes a bit connected to the song after some time). Almost all of them are also full-length songs that it felt like they're just episode time-fillers." They just feel like it's too much for a non-musical series.

7 Give Mindy A Better Storyline

Speaking of singing, fans think Mindy (Ashley Park) deserves more than just being an episode time-filler. "Essentially nothing has changed with her since she was introduced to the show in S1," wrote a fan on a Reddit thread. "She’s a rich girl with an estranged father who is an amazing singer but embarrassed herself on TV. That’s it. It’s just boring because there’s really nowhere for her to go." It's too bad since a lot of fans love Park and could see her leading a spin-off or her own show. Let's hope it works out for Mindy in season 3.

6 Make Alfie A Main Character

Though Alfie "starts off as stuckup, rude, arrogant" guy, fans love that he "actually [exhibits] some character growth," unlike the rest of the main characters. That's why they find it disappointing that Alfie may have been written out of season 3. "I’m just sad that it inevitably looks like the show runners will die Alfie wrong just to get Emily back with the cheater-chef," wrote a Reddit commenter. But some fans don't think he deserves someone as problematic as Emily anyway. We're still hoping to see him in the next season, though.

5 Not Turn Camille Into A Villain

Camille (Camille Razat) quickly turned into a villain after she found out about Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Emily's affair. Although fans think understand why she pulled that revenge plot with her mom against Emily, they still find it "frustrating." She shouldn't have been turned into this manipulative friend and girlfriend. "I really hated how the show vilified Camille by making her character manipulative," said a fan. "That woman literally got f---ed over by her 5 year long bf and an American woman, she was nothing but nice to and befriended. If anyone is the villain it's Emily and Gabriel."

4 Camille Should Have Dumped Both Gabriel And Emily

Honestly, many viewers would prefer it if Camille had just dumped both Gabriel and Emily. "Camille did not forgive Emily. She was faking it to get her to back off Gabriel," wrote a Redditor. "I get it and that makes her more human but she should have dumped both of them. Why go after a guy who would prefer someone else?" But then again, everyone's blaming it on Emily's bad decisions. "Emily made so many bad decisions one right after the other," said another fan. "After choosing the cheater/selfish route she should have commit all the way and dated him after he told her he was staying." That would have made a much more exciting dramatic arc.

3 Stop Portraying Gabriel As The Leading Man

Fans don't think it's worth fighting over someone like Gabriel. "What is it about Gabriel though? Really?" asked a viewer. "He's pretty bland aside from his cooking skills. And sure he looks 'fine' but the leading ladies look unbelievably beautiful, and can manage to be in relationships with better gentlemen." Another fan noticed that "Gabriel is a piece of work with a likeable facade (Because he doesn't really plot the bad things, he just does them)." Seriously, stop making Gabily happen. It just shouldn't happen.

2 Stop Justifying Emily's Behavior

Even though fans have come to terms with the "escapism" appeal of the show, they still find it annoying that Emily's poor choices are constantly justified. "I can’t tell if I’m just cynical or if I’m right and the show is wrong," said a fan. "But I’m just tired of the show consistently justifying Emily’s behavior with tired platitudes like 'put yourself first!' And 'who cares, you’re in Paris!'" Another fan added that "'Put yourself first!' [is] the advice you give to the single mom who hasn’t take a vacation in three years, NOT the girl making rash romantic decisions that leaves you sleeping with your very sweet friend’s brother and boyfriend." Amen to that.

1 Make That Rumored Kim Cattrall Cameo Happen

It seems like fans have just lost all hope for the show. But if there's one tiny ray of light left, it's the rumored Kim Cattrall cameo. Well, there weren't official talks about it. But fans have been pitching the guest appearance for a while now. They think "it would be fab." We're sure it won't be likely if she's to play Samantha Jones again. She's repeatedly said that she's done playing the role. But fans wouldn't mind her playing a new character. With her outfit in the photo above, we're sure she'd fit perfectly in Emily in Paris. Do you think it's a long shot?
