Tim Allen Spoke Candidly About His Experience At Donald Trump's Inauguration Alongside Jimmy Kimmel
We turn back the clock to six years ago. At that point, Donald Trump was the President of the United States and, like today, discussing Donald was a touchy subject. However, credit to Tim Allen who was open and honest about attending the inauguration, at a time celebs were saying very little about the President.
Allen said, "You’ve gotta be real careful around here,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “You get beat up if don’t believe what everybody believes.” Allen added, “This is like ’30s Germany. I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘you know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.'”
Allen went on to discuss the hypocrisy involved at the time. “What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” he told Megyn Kelly on Fox News. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”
Throughout Allen's comments, Kimmel is laughing, but fans feel as though that was a nervous laugh more than anything else given their conflicting views.

“This government does stuff big,” he revealed. “I’ve never been to anything like that. Just so many people, and when they show up, you know, the ex-president gets in a helicopter and there’s jets and marines taking him this way and there’s parades, but it looks like a Cadillac parade, everything was just rows of Cadillacs. My kids were going, ‘Is this the parade?’ It’s like black Cadillac after black Cadillac and then a tractor.”

Still to this very day, Jimmy Kimmel hasn't let up when it comes to his bashing of Donald Trump. That was also evident when Trump was in power. At one point, ABC requested Kimmel tone down his comedy over the President, but Kimmel instead threatened to quit.
He said, looking back at the situation, “There was at one time, maybe, I don’t know, right around the beginning of this whole Trump thing where … that was kind of hinted at, but I just said, ‘Listen, I get it. I don’t disagree. I mean, you’re right."
"I just said, ‘If that’s what you want to do, I understand and I don’t begrudge you for it, but I’m not going to do that. So if you want somebody else to host the show, then that’s fine. That’s OK with me. I’m just not going to do it like that’ … I have lost half of my fans — maybe more than that."
Kimmel continues, “Ten years ago, among Republicans, I was the most popular talk show host, at least according to the research that they did.”
Kimmel stuck to his beliefs and ended up staying on his late night show, despite the request.
