The Show Will Follow An International Scandal

Set against the backdrop of “scandalous” Mormon mommy influencers, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will track the downfall of these women’s lives as their secret lives are exposed in a high-profile sex scandal.

The show teases, “Now, their sisterhood is shook to its core. Faith, friendship, and reputations are all on the line. Will #MomTok be able to survive and continue to give the rulebook a run for its money, or will this group fall from grace?”

The cast of this salacious docuseries features several prominent Mormon “mom influencers,” including Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Wessel, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Mathews, and Whitney Leavitt.

Following Monday’s announcement, Taylor Frankie Paul took to Instagram Stories to share a behind-the-scenes peek from the production. She excitedly urged viewers, “Get your popcorn, tissues, friends and let’s binge this together. I can’t say anything other than you’re going to want to watch.”

At a recent Realscreen event in New Orleans, Rob Mills, EVP of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television, shared his enthusiasm for the series. He noted that Hulu’s new release comes on the heels of another Mormon-focused series, Mormon No More, which aired in 2022.

This previous docuseries explored the life of a married Mormon mother who falls for another Mormon mom—offering a glimpse into the complexities of faith and romance within the Mormon community.

Produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions—the team behind Bling Empire and My Unorthodox Life—in collaboration with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is set to stream all eight episodes on Hulu starting Friday, September 6.

Jeff Jenkins has a knack for turning intriguing life stories into compelling TV, and this series looks like it will be no exception.
