On April 1st, 2021, it was revealed that Chet Hanks had filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker. According to Chet Hanks' legal filing, that lawsuit stemmed from an incident in which he alleged that Parker attacked him.

"Now, in newly filed documents, Kiana detailed her alleged injuries saying she still 'suffers lingering tingling and tremors to her back and neck periodically.' Chet’s ex said she still suffers from 'PTSD caused by the trauma of the multiple abusive incidents in their relationship.'"
On top of making claims about how she was suffering, Parker brought a new dimension to her lawsuit. According to documents filed by Parker, she may call Tom Hanks to the stand as a potential witness.
