Kelce became known as Swift's boyfriend in September 2023. Some friends have even called Swift Kelce's wife in more recent days. But before this happened, Kelce had spent a major portion of his life in the limelight as a result of playing football.

Kelce became a pro when it came to interviews about his personal life. He learned how much to reveal to let fans in but knew where to draw the line to keep certain things in his life sacred.

This experience with dealing with the media and paparazzi made it so that Kelce was not uncomfortable with being in the huge limelight that has been cast on Swift since she transitioned from country into pop music, something that is a huge difference from Swift's previous relationship with Joe Alwyn.

When asked if he and Swift had talked about their relationship and how to talk about it in the media, Kelce did not deflect the question. Instead, Kelce responded very matter-of-factly all while not revealing too much about his relationship with Swift.

"I mean, the only thing we’ve talked about is as long as we’re happy, we can’t listen to anything that’s outside noise," Kelce stated. "That’s all that matters."

Fans took notice of the tact that Kelce had when it came to discussing his relationship with Swift and have praised him often and repeatedly for it.

"He’s a man who has a lot of practice tuning out the noise, maybe not on this level, but he knows how to do it and he knows how to focus on what matters," one Reddit user explained.

Pia Malihi has had a series of missteps when it comes to her social media posts concerning Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

October 2023 was one month after Kelce and Swift's relationship had a hard launch. Swift and Kelce had been dating long before that, however. In that same month, Kelce's publicist, Pia Malihi reposted a Tweet that someone had put together for her birthday.

While this is not an uncommon thing to do, the picture montage had a picture of a person whose face was covered up by a clown emoji. That person was clearly Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game. As a result of the retweet, Malihi faced massive backlash after she retweeted Malihi's retweet, putting Swifties up in arms.

"Introducing the worst publicist to ever live," a repost of the montage was captioned. "Travis Kelce's publicist reposted a picture that has a clown emoji over Taylor's face. Even if that was an accident, it's an accident a publicist can't make. See ya Pia...."

The original birthday picture montage was captioned, "Happy Birthday to our Roman Empire." The picture in which Swift's face was covered by a clown emoji showed Malihi in the background looking at her phone.

Because this was not the best picture that could have been posted of Malihi, many started to dig deeper as to why the picture was posted in the first place, specifically front and center of the montage. The reason that many Swifties landed on is that Malihi has worked with Scooter Braun — the same Braun who did not allow Swift to buy back her original songs, causing her to rerecord them.

As such, Swifties believe that Malihi may have some ill feelings directed at Swift because of her relationship with Braun. This is why even though she was not the one who added the clown emoji to the picture, Malihi had no problem reposting it. However, she did not receive any sort of public reprimand from Kelce for doing so.

Travis Kelce Did Not Fire His PR Team Over The Embarrassing Incident

After the embarrassing incident with the clown emoji that had Swifties sending Kelce social media messages to fire Malihi, Kelce did not respond. He also did not fire Malihi. Instead, it was reported that Kelce did what he does best and that was to focus on his career and his relationship with Swift. Kelce did not let any of the outside noise in that could derail either one of those things and — again — looked like a hero for it.

"Deux- In regard to the clown emoji situation... have you heard how Travis responded?" a fan asked the publication Deuxmoi. "I know you said she wasn't fired, but he couldn't have been happy with her about that. He seems so protective over Tay. Thanks girl!"

Deumoi responded, "He has more important things to focus on- like football & Taylor. That's what I heard."

"Okay... interesting lol," the fan stated. "So unbothered. We love that."

While the repost was not something that sat well with Swifties, it was not enough for Kelce to fire his long-time publicist. How Malihi deals with PR incidents revolving around Swift and Kelce in the future remains to be seen.
