BTS is the biggest K-Pop band in the world, and if it weren't for other idols such as PSY, Big Bang, Shinee, or 2NE1, BTS' name wouldn't have been as big. Consisting of seven members, each are equally important and if one is missing, it wouldn't be BTS. Starting in 2012, seven strangers were formed to become the band that would leave a worldwide impact.
Kim Namjoon, known by his stage name RM, is the leader of the group and has worked extremely hard to get to where he is today. Formally known as Rap Monster, his song "Awakening" and fans are happy to see him being successful six years after the music video's release.
As BTS' leader, Namjoon is responsible for representing the band, motivate and take care of his fellow bandmates, and be the one to do most of the speaking in interviews and award shows. The lyrics consist of Namjoon going through his struggles as an up-and-coming artist. He was torn between being either an idol or a hip-hop artist. He loved hip-hop a lot, but when he ultimately chose to become an idol, he lost friends and was backstabbed by them. Namjoon's "Awakening" serves as an important piece of his history for choosing the path that eventually lead to his success. RM has struggled and fought his way to figure out his identity as an artist and he made the right choice.
Today, millions around the world know who RM is. There are many fans who love BTS, including celebrities who are crazy for them. Fans on social media never back down when it comes to BTS. Asides from their intense loyalty, they are appreciative of Namjoon and the other members working hard to be the band they know and love today.
