Harry Styles fans have come after his long-term girlfriend, once again. However, this time, they are accusing the 37-year-old actor of something very serious: Blackfishing.

Styles and Olivia Wilde have been linked together since the beginning of 2021. Fans first began to piece together their relationship after Styles was cast in Wilde's upcoming movie Don't Worry Darling. She began to praise him nonstop in the press, around the same time as her divorce from SNL actor Jason Sudeikis grew more public.

However, their relationship felt more concrete in January 2021 after the couple was spotted holding hands at a friend's wedding in California. Styles fans went wild, some praising the couple while others were destined to sabotage their relationship. Since then, fans have circulated Wilde's leaked nudes and continued to accuse their relationship of being a publicity stunt.

Most recently, after the "Watermelon Sugar" singer was photographed at Wilde's house, fans on Twitter began to circulate images of an Instyle photoshoot from 2010. In this dreadful spread, Wilde is seen donning a dark brown tan that wildly contrasts from her usual, pale skin.

One fan tweeted, "So, Olivia Wilde done blackfishing/blackface when she is white. Maybe finally you will see that she is problematic." The caption is accompanied with four images of the actor donning deeply bronzed skin in a photoshoot with photographer Giampaolo Sigura.

Agreeing with the post, another fan added, "I’m not surprised, it ever ends with this woman."

A third tweeted, "She keeps doing things that make me h8 her and this is just next level."

However, others are convinced that it is just a "bad tan" or a controversy that lies with the photographer, not the subject. One expressed, "How about you listen to every single Black person in the replies. A spray tan and bad editing job from ELEVEN years back is neither blackface nor black fishing. Saying this just dilutes and weakens the impact of actual blackface."

Another wrote, "As a photographer, I can say this isn't blackface and instead some s****y preset the photographer chose to edit the photo. this is a reach lol."

"I’m also a photographer, you are 100% right this is an edited image that she likely had little to no artistic control over. We can’t call things like this blackface/blackfishing because it diminishes the seriousness of actual blackface," a third fan tweeted, in response to the message above.

While fans are split on this topic, it doesn't seem to phase Styles and Wilde as they have remained private about their budding relationship.
