The Witcher star Henry Cavill is being cast in spy movies, iconic reboots, and romantic comedies, so basically everything except for a project in the DC universe.

The actor has signed to play the leading role in his first rom-com flick, where he plays "an unlucky-in-love university professor who creates an elaborate questionnaire in an effort to find a wife, and meets an unconventional woman who doesn't match any of his requirements', but might be the perfect woman for him."

So, like The Bachelor but cooler.

The film is a great opportunity for Cavill to display his acting range since the actor has starred in majorly action-heavy projects in recent years.

Fans Want Emilia Clarke To Play Rosie

The Man of Steel actor is the first star to have been cast in the film, which is an adaptation of a novel by Australian author Graeme Simsion. Twitter users have taken it upon themselves to campaign for Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke to be cast alongside Cavill in the film.

Unfortunately, the project fell through shortly after...but it's back now!

"I guess if @emiliaclarke really enjoyed The Rosie Project, her agent could call @SonyPictures. Last I heard they were looking for a Rosie.." author Graeme Simsion had responded to the post after fans began petitioning for Clarke's role in the project.

Fans haven't stopped campaigning for her and still want Emilia to portray Rosie!

"This news breaks and my Twitter feed is full of Emilia Clarke fans wanting her to play Rosie. I'm flattered that they'd like their favorite actor in my story…" Simsion tweeted on July 15, right after Deadline reported the news and caused a social media frenzy.
