The Office grew to popularity for several reasons. Michael Scott was a major highlight, while fans also appreciated Pam and Jim's love story. Both John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer were also all-in when it came to the storyline. Krasinski actually talked the writers out of having Jim cheat on Pam, given how much he bought into their love story on the show.

Jim and Pam on The Office were among the greatest sitcom couples of the 2000s. The two shared obvious chemistry, and remained close friends throughout the experience. However, they never dated in real life. Because of that fact, fans were caught off guard when Fischer revealed that the love they shared on the show was very real.

“John and I have real chemistry,” she said at the time. “There’s a real part of me that’s Pam and a real part of him that’s Jim, and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another. But in real life, we aren’t totally Pam and totally Jim, so in real life, we’re not a perfect match.”

A rumor would also swirl around that Fischer wore her prop ring given by Jim on the show. Although she did in fact keep the ring, she was quick to shutdown those rumors.

“What a terrible rumor! Of course not!” the actress responded with a laughing emoji. “I wear the ring my actual husband of 10 years gave me!”

Despite making the claim that the love was real between the two, Krasinski had a different take on their chemistry.

John Krasinski Clarified That He Wasn't Actually In Love With Jenna Fischer, And Believes Her Comments Were Taken Out Of Context

John Krasinski had a different take and in his opinion, Fischer was completely misquoted into what she was actually trying to say.

Krasinski revealed, “I think that was wildly misquoted or taken out of context. I’m sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen – and I think we both feel it’s such an honor to be a part of that relationship.”

John would go on to reveal that they weren't actually in love throughout their time on the series.

“As far as how she was quoted about saying we were ‘genuinely in love,’ I think that was taken wildly out of context and I feel bad for her,” Krasinski concluded.

Nonetheless, the two stars are still on great terms and the comments did not hinder their relationship in the slightest. In addition, both sides are open to reconnecting for an Office reunion.

Both John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer are very much open to a reunion, though Fischer did admit she didn't have as much interest in a reboot.

Fischer revealed, "I would not do an 'Office' reboot, but I would love to do a reunion special. I would like to get us all together again."

Krasinski agreed with this, acknowledging that The Office completely changed his career, at he's forever grateful to the sitcom.

“The Office was absolutely everything to me. I mean it is my beginning and my end. I’m pretty sure at the end of my career I’ll still be known for [his character] Jim. That was my first experience with Hollywood. It was the first creative family I’ve ever had. In many ways, they will always be the most important people in that most important experience in my career.

He continued, "So yeah, if they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it.”

Surely, Office fans are hoping some type of reunion takes place in the near future. At the very least, the cast appears to be on the same page when it comes to a potential reunion down the road. Let's hope it'll also include Michael Scott.
